Welcome to your Thursday, May 4th, 2026. Morning update. Pride Month. June. Seems a little subdued this year, doesn’t it? Turns out all those Pride events rely on corporate donors. Corporate donors have gotten a little quiet. Not all of them, obviously. The more hard-leaning left, obviously publicly so hard-leaning left, will never stop being who they are, nor would we ask them to. But to shove it in your face twenty-four seven three sixty-five through the entire month of June – has abated. A lot.
Target, for example, the tip of the retail spear, so to speak, when it comes to Pride Month. If you go to their homepage, there’s a white family at the top. You have to scroll three-quarters of the way down to find a tiny little square. Yay, big. That says Pride Month. And it’s right next to some Fourth of July stuff that got s the same amount of real estate on that homepage. That is quite a change from just a few years ago.
Pride Month isn’t getting as much press as it used to. Even the media isn’t talking about it. You know what else the media isn’t talking about?
In Alabama, Governor K. Firecracker Ivy proclaimed June to be Strong Families Month. Fathers lead, support, and protect families, the governor said in a statement that set fourth-wave feminist short-cropped hair on fire. This from Jeff Childers.
In coordination with Father’s Day, the statement continues. Governor Ivey is recognizing fathers’ lasting impact on the lives of Alabama children and families as the head of the household. Fathers play an essential role by providing leadership, protection, and support that help shape strong families and communities.
On April 9th, Tennessee officially designated June as Nuclear Family Month after Governor Bill Lee signed a House Resolution, a joint resolution initially proposed by Rep Bud Halsley of Kingsport.
The nuclear family, consisting of one husband, one wife, and any biological, adopted, or fostered children, is God’s design for familial structure and has been the bedrock of society since the creation of the world, the resolution states. The nuclear family is God’s perfect design for humanity and is aligned with the long-held traditional values of Tennessee.
Indiana Governor Mike Braun proclaimed June Nuclear Family Month. On Monday, the first day of Pride Month, Braun described a nuclear family as consisting of one husband, one wife, and any biological adopted or fostered children, saying it is God’s design for the family structure. He added that the nuclear family has been the foundation of society since the creation of the world.
They’re not wrong. What I do find interesting is that this tends to be spreading.
Nuclear Family Month could become a thing. I don’t love the name Nuclear Family Month. Strong Families Month. Yeah, that’s a little bit better. But?
But it’s different, isn’t it? I mean, just a few years ago, they would be terrified, terrified to say something like this publicly. And keep in mind the national media isn’t really paying much attention to any of this. They’re trying to keep it quiet, but they’re not talking about Pride Month either. So I guess I’ll close with this. How many more states are gonna declare June to be nuclear family month?
How many more corporations will stop dumping dollars on the decreasing number of Pride festivals who rely on them, especially in some really large cities? Many have been canceled because they don’t have funding, and without it, they can’t be proud.
