Morning Update: Did Your Vote Count?

Today, on the Morning Update, the government has no more responsibility to care for your ballots than it does for your person. That’d be none. If you don’t make sure your vote is counted, how do you know if your vote counts?

Welcome to your Friday, May fifth, two thousand and twenty-six morning update.

What do mail-in ballots and public safety have in common? No one is obligated to protect either.

You can’t sue the police for not being there when you were attacked. You just can’t. The courts have already ruled. There’s just no obligation to be there with an expectation that harm might befall you.

If you get mugged, raped, or murdered, they’ll investigate it, but you can’t sue them for not preventing it, and even when there’s a police state, there’s still no way and no obligation to protect you.

That’s what’s so galling about the left’s obsession with making you helpless.

They create fear, they misinform you, and then they pass laws that disarm you and make you helpless.

Laws criminals were never going to follow in the first place, basically turning them into another way to make more victims.

And some people in government feel not just obligated, but obsessed with a desire to make you into a victim.

What does this have to do with elections? Well, isn’t the ballot sacrosanct?

It’s the key to democracy. Everyone’s entitled to one no matter what language it’s in.

Except they treat those just like they treat you.

Chain of custody is the only guarantee you have that your vote gets cast. Not just cast, but the vote you actually made.

Just getting that vote to the thing that will count it is entirely up to you.

That is your civic duty, not just voting, but making sure that your vote is in fact counted.

If you drop it in the mail or put it in a mailbox, when you could have shown up and done it in person,

You just gave up that vote because at that point there is absolutely no guarantee whatsoever that it will get counted.

Your watchdog government has no more obligation to ensure that that ballot is received and counted than it does to protect your person.

Which leads me to this.

[news report – drop box arson]

That was not the only incident. May thirty first, twenty twenty six, Los Angeles County, California,

A limited number of vote-by-mail ballots inside an official drop box at the Department of Public Social Services Civic Center downtown LA sustained fire-related damage discovered during routine collection.

October twenty-eighth, two thousand twenty-four, Vancouver, Washington: an incendiary device set a drop box on fire. Around four AM, hundreds of ballots, four hundred and seventy-five reported damaged or destroyed, were affected.

October twenty-eighth, twenty-twenty-four, Portland, Oregon. An incendiary device ignited a drop box around three thirty AM. Twenty-twenty-four, Phoenix, Arizona. A man was arrested after setting fire to a US Postal Service mailbox containing twenty ballots, some election mail, it says.

October eighth, twenty twenty four, Vancouver, Washington, incendiary device on a drop box. It says no ballots were damaged. October twenty-twenty, Baldwin Park, California: arson set a drop box outside a public library on fire.

Twenty-twenty, Boston, Mass in the Back Bay area. Arson damaged dozens of ballots at a drop box before it was extinguished.

So those votes didn’t get counted. We don’t even know. Some of them, they may have been able to contact them. There’s so much fraud in mail balloting and ⁓ in vote by mail that it’s- we don’t have time to discuss that today. But given the hostility toward anyone who isn’t on board with the left-wing agenda, anyone who is not aligned or unsure about this part of the voting process should make every possible effort to deliver the ballot by hand to the device that counts it.

And then you need to make sure that once the government has possession of your ballot, that they continue to secure chain of custody in the event of recounts, in the event of audits. We have a lot of those going on now because of all the foolishness from twenty twenty.

It’s your vote. You have to protect it.

That’s it for today. We’ll talk to you on Monday.
