Today on the Morning Update, the SPLC interim Grand Poobah had to defend his organization before Congress, and while it’s galling that the SPLC funded hate and profited from that, and put groups like Moms for Liberty on the Hate Map, it’s not what they did, but how they did it.

Welcome to your Thursday, June 11th, 2026. Morning update. Yeah. Got all kinds of features on my Rodecaster II board that I never use, and I thought I might fool around with them a little bit and see what happens. Sorry. “How dare you.” There we go. Anyway
The head of the SPLC had to sit before members of Congress the other day and explain himself and his organization, alleged to have laundered millions of dollars through fake bank accounts in shell companies to hate groups, presumably as paid inside investigators to give them more information and details about the hate groups I mean, they can claim that their inside informants, whom they were paying, were in fact.
Inside informants. We could just ignore the fact that some of the things that they paid for helped them raise significantly more money, enriching themselves and their organization. But that’s not really why we’re here. They are under indictment for bank fraud, for creating fake companies, lying to banks about it, and apparently the DOJ has all of this.
In writing. So the congressional hearing is kind of a dog-and-pony show. It’s an opportunity to share with the world how silly all of this really is. And the SPLC is a silly group. SPLC could stand for silly people looting cash and then
Spending it on themselves, and of course funding hate groups whose activity allows them to point their finger and go, look, a hate group, give us money. The SPLC is basically a front, a fraud operation, but we already knew that. Here’s what’s really amusing about them. The SPLC is so completely in the tank for the left, with no actual interest whatsoever in preventing hate and racism, that they put
Moms for Liberty on their hate map. And when asked about this by a member of Congress, quote, Why was it important to add Moms for Liberty to the hate map? Mr. Fair said, Moms for Liberty interferes with parental rights. I’m a parent too. Moms for Liberty says it gets to decide for me and other parents in the country. That’s not Liberty. Mr Fair is full of shit.
He’s on the side of what was it?
Remote learning, lockdowns, vaccine mandates, grooming, hiding curriculum from parents, having the FBI investigate and arrest people, parents who spoke out at school boards about things that were happening in schools behind their backs, or in some cases right in their faces, that they weren’t allowed to complain about. Mr Fair is being very unfair.
He is, of course, in an awkward position as the interim CEO or president or whatever you call him. And that’s all fun and games. And of course, Moms for Liberty said, look, we’re the exact opposite. We’re to make sure the parents’ rights are protected, that they are engaged in the process, that they do get listened to. That’s what they do. The exact opposite of what Mr. Fair said. But again, we can’t get caught up in all of that.
SPLC, the Proglodytes, the Demorrhoids, the Hypocrats.
They will all continue to say it was completely legitimate. They were paying inside informants. They were paying hate groups. Let me ask you a question. If you were donating to a pregnancy care center, how would you feel about them paying people who work in abortion clinics to tell them they were killing babies? It’s probably not how you’d want your money spent. Donors have a right to know.
And bank fraud is bank fraud. And apparently the DOJ has it in writing. We’ll have to wait and see. Just don’t get caught up in the circus. Remember, sometimes it doesn’t have to be pretty. It doesn’t have to be spectacular. Sometimes it just has to happen.
