Morning Update: Some Prayer Is More Equal Than Others

Today, on the Morning Update, there has been a decades-long war between the secular left and people of faith. Well, not exactly. While the Separation of Church and State retards have been inculcating that lie into the culture, making it a hill to die on, it only applies if the “church” is Christian or Jewish.

Welcome to your Wednesday, April 22nd, 2026, morning update. Today, what about prayer? Well, it’s a pretty common thing. It’s been an important part of history. A lot of people believe in the strength and power of prayer. How about the strength and power of Americans united for the separation of church and state? Well, they are very much against.

Anything connecting anything with government money to religion. Unless, of course, it’s immigration, refugee programs, or almost anything that advances the left-wing agenda. It’s really, really weird how Barry Lynn, the founder, who is a United Universalist Church so-called Christian, has that sort of distinction and he always has. And their organization, now that he’s no longer in charge, continues to do the same thing. So when I read this, my first thought was, where was AU?

A Minneapolis-area school district is planning to add a prayer room and a foot-washing station for Muslim students at two of its high schools. The Osseo area schools confirmed to Alpha News reporter Liz Collin that its remodel at Park Center Senior High School includes prayer room and that foot washing stations are being added to Osseo Senior High School.

The prayer room and foot washing stations were apparently included in the update plans for the districts building a better future initiative, a roughly $375 million effort backed by voters in 2022 and 2023. Separation of church and state.

How would they feel if you put a Christian chapel in a school? Well, they wouldn’t like it very much if it were your average, everyday government-run public school. In fact, they’d file a lawsuit. So I went to their website to see if they had anything to say about this, and there’s nothing. It’s all left-wing garbage, which of course is what the AU is in the first place. That’s their whole purpose. It has nothing to do with faith.

I did find one piece, in my somewhat limited search of the Americans United for Separation of Church and State website. It was about blasphemy laws in foreign countries. And it started out pretty good. Like, you know, we don’t have them here. And it’s pretty good that you don’t have them here because anywhere where you have free speech, you should be able to say just about anything about anyone or anything, assuming you don’t violate any very thin, slim rules like you actually tell lies that damage them or you cause actual harm, which is kind of difficult to do with words unless you’re a liberal because they’re snowflakes and they trigger easy and they snap like dry twigs.

It’s so incredibly sad and amusing all at the same time. So anyway, I’m reading this article, and I’m like, hey, they really do. Wait a minute.

“Unfortunately, I don’t have an easy answer for people who live under these laws. Yes, they all ought to be repealed. But in a situation that is nothing short of Kafkaesque, sometimes publicly calling for the end of a nation’s blasphemy law can be interpreted as blasphemy itself. Given that some countries impose life imprisonment or death penalty on offenders, I can understand why people don’t want to take the risk.”

So shut up.

Instead, that’s their answer. And it doesn’t surprise me. So, the Liz Collins bit, she shares a nice little tweet with a screen grab of a design drawing of the prayer room and the foot washing stations.

Apparently, this doesn’t upset people who think there should be absolutely no religion in schools or with the government. I found that quite fascinating. Over at PJ Media, quote

The founding fathers never intended to exclude religion from the public square government institutions, and indeed, the phrase separation of church and state never occurs in our founding documents. Indeed, many of the founders, including John Adams, George Washington, and John Jay, emphasized the importance of religion in the public square. It was also normal and accepted for legislatures and public schools across America to have prayers incorporated into their regular scheduled duties and exercises. But America was founded specifically to be a Judeo-Christian nation. And it is also true that the founders were opposed to making one religion essentially the state religion or official religion of a particular institution or government entity. Yet that is exactly what is happening at the Minneapolis High School.

The other problem, of course, is that this is exactly how Islam conquers nations. In every nation, Islam conquers, can’t have either separation of church and state, they are one and the same, and no other faith is tolerated for very long, including the assholes at America’s United for the separation of church and state. You’re useful idiots now.

Once they’ve reached escape velocity, they have no use for you. Keep that in mind. You have a great day. We’ll be back tomorrow.
