We’ve been working on this for so very long that I’m not sure how to feel about it. Excited, relieved, ecstatic, ready for what comes next. HB323 takes effect in 60 days, long before the midterms, and tightens the rules on which photo IDs can be used to vote. [Related: End Out-Of-State Students’ Extra Constitutional Voting Rights]
Woo hoo!!!

As I noted in the x post,
The left will lose what passes for its hive mind, and likely sue, but it is a waste of time. No student voting right has been obstructed. They can vote by mail (absentee) using the address on their driver’s license; It’s the same address to which the out-of-state college tuition bill is sent. They always could, and now they should.
It also invalidated high school IDs, some weird exception for Dartmouth College.

Not sure why that never came up in court before. I’ve been making this point for over two decades (and a few others like it), but it better come up now. And I can’t see the Dems giving up all those seats plus any congressional races. We’ll keep watching.
