In recent articles by various readers (Caledonian Record & Littleton Courier), I am disappointed by their unqualified remarks about President Trump as “…’Dictator in Chief’ and his thugs in charge.” This writer goes on to say that “…millions can be spent on a White House ballroom and a proposed ‘Arc de Trump’, but we can’t fund the agencies that make a difference to our tax-paying citizens.” This writer neglects to tell the reader that no public money is being used for these projects…no use of taxpayer money! Another writer states that “ballrooms are protected play spaces.” This same writer claims that “…[building] this ballroom is Trump’s constant need to distract.” Sacre bleu!…these incredulous remarks are disparaging to the voters and filled with preposterous misinformation. From which credible news sources are they getting their slanted information? This is nothing more than “trash-mouthing” a victorious President whose triumphant and innovative plans will help recognize America’s 250th birthday and, at the same time, enrich the lives of all American citizens. It seems these writers hold serious cases of “TDS” (Trump Derangement Syndrome).
The White House Ballroom and the Arch de Trump are being paid for with private donations by such large, stockholder corporations like Amazon, Apple, Beta, Booz Allen Hamilton, Inc, Caterpillar, Coinbase, Comcast, Google, Lockheed Martin, Micron Technology, Microsoft, Hard Rock International ,and many more too numerous to list here. (whitehousehistory.org; CBS News; youtube.com; Wikipedia.org).
The East Room Ballroom was built in 1829 as the primary venue for large events of up to 200 guests, including heads-of-state, prime ministers, kings, queens, and other foreign dignitaries and their entourages. Unsightly large tents and out-house commodes were installed on the White House grounds during a time known as “the Tent Era” to entertain important, foreign leaders. Imagine a lady in a formal gown or a gentleman dignitary in a tuxedo having to use an outhouse commode to relieve herself/himself at a formal White House function! Here we are, the most powerful and respected country in the entire world, and we’re having our guests use outhouses! Would you have a formal function at your house, and ask your important guests go outside to use a commode? Did you realize that female guests wearing high heels are sinking 4” into the mud of the Rose Garden while attending formal gatherings in that historic portion of the White House?
Presidents have sought a larger event space for over 150 years! President Trump recognizes the need and has wisely and shrewdly gathered companies and private donors together to make these structures a reality.
New Hampshire did exactly the same thing when we built the Old Man in the Mountain Historic Memorial! Private donors contributed to its unique construction.
This President has a wealth of notable accomplishments. Economically, reducing inflation from 21.5% under the previous Biden Administration to the present 2.45% under the present Trump Administration! For the first time in its history, the Dow Jones Industrial Average on the New York Stock Exchange broke the 50,0000 mark!! Statistics indicate that crime is at its lowest levels in 125 years under President Trump, and that gas prices are steadily dropping (which is a tax decrease in itself!).
Other major economic accomplishments of President Trump, so far, include: Trump Accounts, where parents can put money into IRA accounts for children born from 2025-2028, which can provide these newborns with as much as $300,000.00 on their 18th birthday (the government starts every child with $1,000.00, but parents can add more… check for further details); delivered on his promises of No Tax on Tips (helping the vast number of working Americans who are in the service industry and depend upon tips to supplement their income), No Tax on Overtime (helping working Americans working above their normal hours), and No Tax on Social Security (helping seniors on fixed incomes); delivered $12 Billion in direct aid to American farmers; approved $50 Billion in Rural Healthcare funding, the largest investment in Rural hospitals in history.
I believe Grafton County already has designs for some of this money for our Nursing Home and area hospitals, as well as expansive development on the County’s Emergency Medical Services (EMS), like ambulance/ rescue squad service. President Trump has just announced plans for the Trump Rx Plan, thus reducing the cost of prescription drugs to “most-favored-nation-status” prices for American citizens. We no longer subsidize the price of prescription drugs from other countries as we did under previous Administrations. The list of President Trump’s economic accomplishments is quite lengthy, much too long for this documented report.
I urge you to research more of President Trump’s voluminous accomplishments so you, too, may speak knowledgably about his “America First” policies.
