MacDonald: School Board Member Calls for Doxxing Federal Agents

A concerned citizen has emailed the New Hampshire Department of Justice to report that Giana Gelsey, who serves on the Oyster River School Board, recently posted a comment on social media stating, “We need to identify and dox these officers…,” referring to federal agents.

Here is the email sent to the Education Commissioner and the AG’s office.

Good morning – I’m writing to report a disturbing Facebook post authored by an elected school board member in Oyster River, Giana Gelsey.

On July 22, 2025, I contacted the Oyster River SAU to report Giana Gelsey’s message on Facebook inciting and encouraging people to “dox” and “harass the hell out of” federal law enforcement officials who were conducting a lawful arrest of an illegal immigrant outside of the Manchester District Court.  Ms. Gelsey’s posts are attached below.  In the event you don’t receive images, Ms. Gelsey’s most disturbing post is as follows:

“We need to identify and dox these “officers”.  Make their life incredibly unpleasant.  Harass the hell out of them.  Why?  To make it so no one wants the job.  If they want to violate our rights, we get to have fun with theirs.”

Ms. Gelsey did not respond when I inquired about her elected position on the Oyster River School Board.  That prompted me to contact the SAU office on July 22nd.  I spoke with Wendy DiFruscio, executive assistant to the Superintendent.  Ms. DiFruscio advised she would give the message to the Superintendent who would call me back.  I never received a call from Dr. Shaps, necessitating my email to the NH Department of Education.

Ms. Gelsey’s post is not only incredibly irresponsible, it is also very dangerous in light of the harassment and doxing campaigns that have been initiated by the far left across the country targeting law enforcement.  The attempted assassination of Justice Kavanaugh, and the doxing of law enforcement officers in Portland, Oregon, are two prime examples.  While Ms. Gelsey self-identifies as an “activist”, which is her right, she is also a member of a school board which purportedly serves and is responsible to all of the taxpayers of the Oyster River community.  Her post was a call to action against law enforcement engaged in the course and scope of their duties protecting  the citizens of this state.  The call to harass and dox law enforcement officials has very real legal implications for Ms. Gelsey in the event any of those officers are identified and subsequently harassed.

Ms. Gelsey needs to be held to account for her dangerous and irresponsible post including, but not limited to, removal from the Oyster River School Board.  Her post is not protected speech under the 1st amendment, and she holds a position within her community that requires restraint and self-control.  She clearly does not possess good judgment, so I question whether she can truly serve the Oyster River community in her current capacity.

Please advise as to what steps will be taken by the New Hampshire Department of Education and the Attorney General’s office  to address this matter.  I look forward to hearing from you.

Also:

We have confirmed that Ms. Gelsey is on the Oyster River School board.

This is a breaking story; we will provide an update when more details become available.
