Property Tax, Sticker Tax, RTK & RTW; More Cross-Referencing

After submitting my most recent article on rogue Rs that voted the wrong way on HB1002 last year and removing property tax relief from HB2 this year, I started alerting constituents of the latter.  A constituent of Bryer complained of him being a “union schmuck” and that inspired me to do more cross referencing.  I wanted to know how many reps that voted to remove property tax relief from HB 2 also voted to indefinitely postpone HB238 (aka RTW).

Remember that “indefinite postponement” is worse than death for a good bill when it’s not an election year.  It’s comparable to a court dismissing something with prejudice.  Even Jason Voorhees takes note of such things, but let’s get to that list of 12 and look at it below:

  • Bordes*
  • Bridle
  • Bryer
  • Coker*
  • Davis*
  • Foote*
  • Morency
  • Nagel
  • Nelson*
  • Ouellett*
  • Trottier
  • Valerino

The six asterisked reps are also enemies of 91A.  Let’s also look at reps who voted to remove property tax relief from HB 2 and against abolishing the sticker tax(HB649).  Also, with four enemies of 91A asterisked, here’s that list of 8 below:

  • Boyd*
  • Crawford*
  • Lundgren*
  • Markell
  • Nelson*
  • Proulx
  • Trottier
  • Vandecasteele

While I will avoid fancying myself an amateur Spec Bowers, I do see there’s a hierarchy to which rogue Rs compare to their ilk, in my opinion.  One observation, for example, is that Bill Boyd did NOT vote the wrong way on RTW.  Amazing!  Neither did Crawford nor Lundgren.  And Bordes voted to abolish the sticker tax.  Good!  Using those four roll calls (HB1002, HB238, HB649 and removing property tax relief(akin to rejecting HB675) from HB 2), I’ve narrowed it down to one booby prize winner and that’s Jodi Nelson.  Since her town is Derry, which has ten seats in the House, removing her in a primary won’t be as easy as removing a bad R in an ordinary red district.  Furthermore, the only current Derry rep that is not a piece of excrement is Erica Layon, so I have an idea for Derry, which would depend on Erica agreeing to it.

Erica should primary Regina the Masker for her Senate seat, and ten new recruits should run together as a slate for the House. I’m calling on Derry to consider my idea not just for their own locals but for all of NH.
