Important Hearings this Week
Support Parents Rights & Women’s Privacy
The Parents’ Bill of Rights is back. The House version (HB10), sponsored by Speaker Sherm Packard, will have a hearing on Tuesday afternoon at 1:00 PM in the Children and Family Law Committee (Legislative Office Building Room 206-208). This bill affirms that parents have a fundamental right to direct the education, care, upbringing, and moral/religious training of their children. If you are unable to attend the hearing and testify, you can register your support for the bill here anytime up until midnight on Tuesday.
Another very important bill has returned this year. Last year, Governor Chris Sununu vetoed a bill that would have permitted school districts, private entities, and others to distinguish between biological men and women for purposes of maintaining privacy in intimate spaces such as bathrooms and locker rooms, and to separate the sexes for athletic competitions and houses of correction. This bill is back for 2025: HB148 will have a hearing on Wednesday morning at 9:00 AM in the Children and Family Law Committee (Legislative Office Building Room 206-208). If you are unable to attend the hearing and testify, you can register your support for the bill here anytime up until midnight on Wednesday.
603A Inaugural Gala Recap
On January 20th, we celebrated the inauguration of Donald Trump as our nation’s 47th President. Nearly 200 like-minded friends came together in Manchester for an evening of food, dancing, and celebration. The renowned B-Street Bombers provided the entertainment, and radio host Jeff Chidester served as the event’s emcee. We would like to thank our sponsors, Defend Our Kids, Augusta Petrone, Diane Bitter, and Representatives Carol and Dan McGuire.
The event was a financial success, raising money for veteran’s causes and supporting the 603 Alliance’s ongoing mission to restore Constitutional principles at all levels of government. We’ll be donating a portion of the funds to Aim for Zero (suicide prevention for veterans), Harbor Care (housing for homeless veterans), and the Wounded Warrior Project (veterans’ support programs).
March: GOP Town Chair Training
In March, the 603 Alliance will offer two online training sessions for GOP Town Chairs, Vice-Chairs, and other officers. If you’re taking on a leadership role in your local GOP Town Committee, or if you just need a refresher, mark your calendar for Tuesday March 18th at 7 PM, and again for Saturday March 22nd at 9 AM. Advance registration is required. Register here.
