Imagine a World Where Our Kids Don’t Know What Jeanne Shaheen Is?

In the mid-oughts, then-politically unemployed former New Hampshire Governor Jeanne Shaheen decided a career in the US Senate would be good for her. And it has. She’s been there since 2009 and profited handsomely while more than tripling the national debt. And yes, she did run in 2008 against irresponsible government spending – by which she meant on things that were not priorities to Jeanne Shaheen.

It’s been too long, and there is speculation she might not run again in 2026, which reminded me of something attributed to her and numerous other “climate experts” circa 2007-2008. That because of global warming – you could still call it that back then – our children might not know what snow is. Mother nature proceeded to beat the crap out of us with successively brutal winters, and we’ve yet to have one with no snow, but 2025 has delivered a freezing blustery wintery bounty.

The no snow narrative started in 2000 (ish) and continued until it became necessary to argue that more snow was a symptom of global warming, with Jeanne Shaheen picking up the climate note cards and running with them ever since. Climate change is a major donor to the Democrat party, laundered through massive subsidies and grants and countless NGOs whose funding was only recently uncovered by the likes of Donald Trump and DOGE. A laundromat that exists in every federal agency and whose exposure has the political establishment in a tizzy.

They say it’s a threat to Democracy or unconstitutional, but Democrats don’t give a crap about either. Democrats don’t give a shit about privacy, social security, welfare, women, Medicaid, or even climate change. It is the byzantine system, absent transparency, checks, or accountability that keeps the campaign balances and activist backers well-funded with your grandchildren’s money (plus interest) that they love. Mr. Trump has crashed into their party like an avalanche, and they can’t seem to find the feet to stand and fight.

When they do, they find themselves defending things that 70-80% of Americans oppose, which is the sort of transparency America needs. A world in which the confidence scams that make a professional career as a politician or bureaucrat in DC much less appealing. A place where members of Congress who become millionaires are investigated and audited instead of entrenched.

A world in which our children have no idea who or what Jeanne Shaheen is or was – except as a lesson in systemic grift she ignored at the expense of everyone she claimed she’d help.
