On Wednesday, December 4, the Executive Council will meet and vote on the nominee for State Librarian, Mindy Atwood. We are asking our supporters to call their Executive Councilor and urge them to vote NO on this nominee.
This nominee has a history of promoting progressive library policies, including preventing school boards from “censoring” LGBTQ books and pornographic material in school libraries. This nominee will use her position as State Librarian to continue this political advocacy, advocating against the rights of school boards to remove pornographic and partisan BIPOC political propaganda from their libraries.
Should they confirm her nomination, the Executive Council would be furthering her advocacy work and using New Hampshire tax dollars to do so.
We urge you to call your Executive Councilor before Wednesday, December 4, and ask them to vote NO on this nominee.
