There’s a PAC running ads in New Hampshire to keep those dangerous MAGA Republicans out of the New Hampshire House. It’s the dumbest bit of tripe I’ve ever seen. It mentions guns and gun laws twice (if I recall), one in general and one related to schools. There is no context, including the absence of what the proposed “laws” have done where applied.
The Left’s Common sense gun laws are not an idea in a vacuum. We know what follows. The most violent places in America have them, imposed by the municipal government run by the same sort of Democrats looking to take over New Hampshire.
When Democrats get the gun laws they want, there is more violent crime, theft, and murder – often involving firearms. In other words, like everything else, Dems say, the result is the opposite of what’s advertised. Coos County has a majority in New Hampshire North Country, but their Democrats are just as dim as the ones down here (or in the corrupt urban warzone near you). They published a manifesto on ‘Common sense laws regarding the purchase, requirements, use, and disposal of weapons.”
They generalized it because we’re too stupid to work it out. But everything is a weapon; just ask victims of crime, rape, and murder in London, where guns are essentially illegal, and knives are highly regulated. It managed to surpass New York City for crime and violence, so we know the plan, whatever it is, will create more victims.

Bats and other blunt force-capable items are used more frequently than firearms as weapons to harm people. It seems presumptive to assume that despite other applications, they were not purchased with that intent. Mental health background checks? Seems like a lot, and by whom? Someone who has a preconceived bias about the likelihood of the tools being used as weapons—more than likely.
And doesn’t requiring a mental health check presume that law-abiding citizens might be buying firearms to do harm rather than for sport? Or, those legitimately pursuing evil would consent to the examination before acquiring a weapon(s).
In the end, you disarm good people (many of whom would forego the firearm to avoid the process) without making any impact on the bad, just like every other common sense gun idea puked up by the proglodytes – a din this case, Coos Dems.
No of their ideas will do any of the things the claim. We know that. Chicago, Baltimore, NYC, LA, Atlanta, even DC – where the national database would be. Topheavy with commonsense gun laws and the crime and misery that follow.
New Hampshire doesn’t have any of that, but we have this (emphasis added).
New Hampshire is the second-safest state, in large part because it has very little violence. For example, New Hampshire had the fewest mass shootings between June 2022 and June 2024 (me: which is to say none). The state also has the second-fewest murders and nonnegligent manslaughters per capita, and the fewest aggravated assaults per capita. On top of that, the state is also very safe from nonviolent crime, with the second-fewest thefts per capita.
Over 78% of people in New Hampshire feel that they live in safe neighborhoods, the highest percentage in the country. More than 76% feel that their children go to safe schools, the seventh-highest percentage. Part of this can naturally be attributed to low rates of violence, but there are other factors at play as well, such as the fact that New Hampshire has the most neighborhood watch groups per capita.
We also have the fewest (or close to it) common-sense gun laws favored by Democrats. What we do have is constitutional carry, which allows anyone legally able to purchase a firearm to carry it open or concealed without having to ask permission.
That’s worth knowing, as is the fact that Dems in all ten New Hampshire counties (and across the nation) agree with the dopes on Coos. They desire legal barriers, burdens, and hurdles that discourage embracing the American gun culture. A nation that, if you remove the crime and murder that follows common sense gun laws in Democrat-run cities, is one of the safest places on the planet.
It is also safer for people who have never considered owning a firearm – safer from criminals outside and inside the government. In other words, those MAGA Republicans are responsible for some of the safest schools and streets in the nation. They are also to blame for one of the lowest tax burdens, low poverty, above-average income, superior health outcomes, and did we mention safe schools and streets.
Take that to the ballot box in Coos and everywhere else on November 5th.
