Some Thoughts On The Anniversary of The Executive Council Arrests

Today, 10/13/24, marks the 3rd anniversary of the infamous Executive Council arrests.  Most, if not all, readers must be familiar with that event, but it never ceases to amaze me that I still run into people who didn’t know about it.

There was plenty of coverage, the wrong kind, to be found then and now, and the Grok archives have some also.  Ken Eyring’s Jim Rice NESN desk is the one I prefer to share in cyberspace because the article has a 16-minute embedded video narrated like a professional analyst would.  Those in attendance, either inside or in the outdoor overflow crowd, remember it like it was yesterday, but what about everyone else?  If you weren’t there, when did you find out?  How did you find out?  Please put it in the comments.  It’s your opportunity to sound like the older generation when asked about JFK Day, 11/22/63.

Readers might ask what this article’s point is, and my answer is twofold.  Reason number one is that what happened should NOT be forgotten and should never happen again! Is Kelly Ayotte reading this?  Reason number two is that the Damn Emperor is about to retire, albeit without justice being served so far.  November is often called Gratitude Month.  Let’s all be grateful that his days in office are numbered.
