Father of Kearsage Transgender Soccer Player Convicted of Distributing Child Pornography

The issues of player safety and free speech are at the center of the recent press in New Hampshire surrounding Maelle Jaques, a boy playing as a girl on a Kearsarge School soccer team. We’ve heard about teams refusing to play Kearsarge over safety issues and parents who support girls being banned from games (and suing the school).

Maelle’s participation is in direct violation of state law that requires girls’ and boys’ sports in NH to sort players by biological sex and whose only exception applies to the two children of two plaintiffs in a lawsuit to overturn the law.

We know that the same Maelle Jaques (how many can there be?) took first place in the girls’ high jump (being a six-foot-tall male likely helps you beat the girls). But this might be news to the people who allegedly reported the news.

Marc Jacques, 50, was sentenced by U.S. District Court Paul Barbadoro to 60 months in federal prison and 5 years of supervised release. The defendant was ordered to pay $26,500 in restitution. On March 18, 2024, Jacques pleaded guilty to one count of distribution of child pornography.

Between 2018 and 2022, Jacques’ IP address had been reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) in connection with at least 40 CyberTips related to the online sexual exploitation of children. Between November 24 and December 6, 2021, Jacques uploaded 49 files of apparent CSAM to the social media platform Kik. Law enforcement executed a federal search warrant on Jacques’ residence and person in June 2022.  Forensic examination of Jacques’ electronic devices revealed the presence of over 200 files of apparent child sexual abuse material (CSAM) as well as chats between Jacques and others related to the sexual exploitation of children and the sharing of CSAM. In at least one chat conversation, Jacques sent videos of CSAM to others.

Marc is Maelle’s dad and has been convicted and sentenced to jail for possessing/distributing child pornography.

Examination of the devices seized from the defendant’s home revealed the presence of roughly 100 images and 200 videos of apparent child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Evidence of chats between the defendant and others related to the sexual exploitation of children was also found on his devices. As reflected in the victim impact statements that have been submitted to this Court, the defendant’s offense is a serious one that caused real suffering to numerous victims.

In the documents below, the second PDF, you will find a letter from Maelle throwing praise upon daddy (pg 24).

The Feds executed a search warrant of Marc’s home in June 2022. Since then, he is or has been walking around (at least) until December 2nd, 2024, when he must self-report to serve his sentence.

The revelation is instructive. Messrs Foote and Fellers were deemed an immediate threat for wearing peaceful pink wristbands to their kids’ soccer game. Plead-guilty Marc Jaques, purveyor of “apparent child sexual abuse material,” not so much. He’s free to wander about until December 2nd.

Was he allowed to attend games or meets where kids were present? I don’t know. I did not dig that deeply into the documents.

It is an interesting world we live in, yes? The progressive utopia or at least its early days.
