Op-Ed: Morse for Governor and Crane for CD2

By Rep.John Sellers –

Everyone who reads the Grok knows the primary is around the corner. We have a few races in which I believe if the right person gets that position, then the citizens of NH will be winners. This is why I am supporting Chuck Morse (governor) and Casey Crane (CD2). On the Republican side, we have a lot of good people to choose from, but these two top my list.

Why, simple, both these candidates have put their time in at the state level for multiple terms. Crane has lived in NH for 27 years and Chuck his entire life and they know the values and needs of the citizens of NH and will protect the NH way of life. Both are fighters and know how to use the media to their advantage and how to get people’s attention. Both are approachable and easy to talk to and they listen. When it comes to Chuck, he has also stepped in as Governor and he understands the budget. These two things are huge when becoming governor; there is no learning curve at all, and he can hit the road running on day one.

I could discuss Ayotte’s tenure as AG during the estimated $1,000,000,000 Youth Detention Center sex abuse and the $80,000,000 FRM Ponzi scheme scandal, but I’ll leave that up to you to investigate. She also flipped-flopped on supporting Trump, if that matters to folks, and her record as US senator is not all rosy, as we, the people in NH, would have liked.

On the CD2 side, there are too many other people running, but Lily Tang Williams and Bill Hamlen have not been in NH as long as Casey Crane. Longevity in NH means roots in NH’s ways and values. I want someone who has at least run as a state legislator or some state office before sending them to DC. Crane has won state-level elections while living in Nashua, and that says a lot, especially if you know Nashua politics. Crane also got Riley Gaines involved to support HB1205, the women’s sports bill to not allow transgenders to play as women and possibly hurt them because of their strength or intimidate them in the locker room. One last note on Crane, she is being supported by other state reps and Joe Kenney, who is a very good executive councilor and is running again.

There you have it, my support for Chuck Morse as governor and Casey Crane for CD2 for DC. Both are winners with your vote on September 10th.
