VDC: Reward Offered for Man Missing One Year

The family of Christopher Harper is offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to finding the missing Burlington man, who disappeared one year ago this week.

Harper, 37, was last seen in late November 2024. His family says they have not heard from him since, which they describe as completely uncharacteristic.

“Chris’ family deeply misses him,” relatives said in a statement. “We are offering a reward to the person who gives the Burlington Police Department Chris Harper’s location, resulting in him being found.”

Harper moved to Vermont in 2005 to attend Johnson State College, where he earned a degree in Alternative Medicine. His family said he fell in love with Vermont’s mountains and natural beauty and has called the state home ever since.

“Chris is a doer, a thinker, an artist, a writer, and one of the hardest-working people we know,” his family wrote. “He is kind and compassionate, deeply devoted to his family and friends, and always ready to lend a helping hand.”

The family also expressed gratitude to the Burlington community and others around Vermont who have shown support over the past year.

“The generosity, compassion, and care we have experienced have truly touched our hearts,” they said. “Thank you all for standing with us.”

Anyone with information about Christopher Harper’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Burlington Police Department at 802-658-2700.
