Just months after opening the Obama presidential lie-barry is experiencing an employee revolt. Working for a half-black Marxist isn’t apparently what the glossy brochures promised. Not a surprise, given that the actual presidency wasn’t either.
Issues with workloads and benefits have led to a ‘high turnover rate’ among employees, with many more ‘continuing to leave (and) taking with them their institutional knowledge and expertise,’ the letter claimed.
Workers say they were recently told that their healthcare costs would increase, promotions were suspended, and paid time off was reduced, despite also learning they would get no pay increases this winter.
Luke Gilday, an Obama Foundation employee and member of the union organizing committee, told the Sun-Times that workers decided to unionize because they ‘don’t even have a seat at the table.’
Bwahahahahaha!
The thing runs close to 300% over budget, black contractors are still complaining about not getting paid, and now employees are so poorly treated “by management” that they have to form a union to secure even basic employee rights.
The letter, signed by 68 workers, said staff were beginning plans to launch a union named Obama Workers United, organized under the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Council 31 (AFSCME 31). …
In the organizing committee’s open letter, the group quoted directly from a letter Obama circulated during the 2016 presidential election, which called on workers to join unions across the nation.
‘If I were looking for a good job that lets me build some security for my family, I’d join a union. If I saw a problem in my workplace, I’d organize my coworkers to do something about it,’ the quote read.
Democrats love unions so everyone will be pleased as punch because the Obama Lie-Barry will soon have one, complete with all the joys that come with it.
Wouldn’t it be a riot if “management” tried to bust the union before it even got started? That’d be a bad look, and I’d have to guess that, on paper, “management” is excited about this new chapter in the life of the lie-barry.
Like the Democratic Party, it’s experiencing some changes, but at its core it’s a model for progressive politics. Overpriced and underdelivered.
Bait-and-switch, like Spanberger and the Virginia Dems. Like every Democrat running for any office right now. Pretend you’ll be a moderate voice for sanity, and if you win a majority, you leap hard left and screw everyone as hard and as fast as you can.
The biggest issue, of course, is this. After an election where Democrats win, if you try to organize anything in opposition, they might use the government to intimidate, silence, or even incarcerate you, if one of their mobs doesn’t come for you first.
It wouldn’t be the first time, so you maybe ought to show up in November and vote Republican, or you’ll get the Obama Library. Overpriced, underwhelming, refuses to pay people what they are owed, and filled with disgruntled people.
