It’s been a rough couple of years for the climate cult, and not just the last two under Mr. Trump. Sure, they super-funded the cult under Biden and again as he was walking out the door, and clawing that all back wasn’t their biggest problem, believe it or not.
Sure, they’ve lost a few laundromats in the past 18 months. USAID for starters. The end of the CO2 endangerment finding. The end of all the easy grants and gifts, alongside a DOJ that didn’t just cave to every lawsuit so it could then write favored groups a check and pretend this wasn’t just a deliberate taxpayer-backed donation meant to skirt the grant process.
Yes, they have bigger problems than that.
Ouch.
Despite decades of fearmongering and all the past ten years of climate chaos marketing, Green New Deal, a majority control of messaging in public school, the media, think tanks, and universities, it gets a whopping 3% on the concern scale.
And the needle on “big problem” hasn’t moved an inch.
At 40%, you can say it is a single-party perception problem with a few moderates in the mix, but no one else gives a shit. Not in any meaningful way, not in a way that it should be part of your campaign messaging.
It makes me smile, but that’s no reason not to keep the pressure on. November is coming, and while Dems may not run on it, you know it is top of mind. You leave them alone with a majority, and they are banning plastic straws, passing rain taxes, and regulating what you can drive, while making electricity a luxury when you’re not on the brink of a brownout or blackout.
They’ve tried to increase demand without even beginning to build a grid or generation capacity to meet it. That tells you they have other priorities, and thanks to the DSA, those people in the middle might hear them before November.
And none of it is good for peace, prosperity, property rights, or human flourishing.
You what? Maybe it just needs a new name.
