CARDELLO: Democrats and Their Abstract Media “Art”

If you listen to the words of Democrats, you would think they all still dress in the garb they wore the day ‘we’ signed the Declaration of Independence. You would think they not only read and understood the Constitution, but also sat with James Madison and contributed to its writing. Their actions, however, are quite different than their words and paint a picture of what they want America to look like in the future.

They love to claim they are the Party of Democracy, Rule of Law, Character, and concern for the little guy. Their actions, however, paint a different picture, and theirs is very abstract. If I were asked to choose one word to describe the Democrats, it would be Projection.

You cannot say you are for Democracy and the Republicans are destroying it if you want to ignore our sovereignty by tearing down our borders and allowing millions of unvetted, undocumented aliens to invade our country. You cannot be a proponent of Democracy and ignore the drain that illegal immigration places on resources such as housing, education, safety, and the security of Americans.

Free Speech

Some responsibilities are built into the system. An individual can say just about anything and remain protected. As for the media. They are certainly easier to handle and monitor than back in the 1700s. But there has always been a concern about protecting people from false or fake news and from tainted, biased reporting. It also protects the consumer from omitted news. It is quite obvious that, in recent years, the legacy media have been concerted in their efforts not to cover certain events so as not to tarnish people on the Left.

The Hunter Biden Laptop is a good example. You heard and read nothing about the device on the prime networks, CNN, or MSNBC (MSNOW). This collusion is as dangerous as false reporting. The players in mainstream media truly believe they walk the line, but anyone with eyes and ears knows differently. Trump and anyone on the Right do not want to do away with mainstream media or create a national voice; they want the truth and to hear the whole story. As for complaints that Trump and Republicans want to defund NPR, there should be none. Tax dollars should not be used to fund an obviously biased outlet; they should either be able to survive on their own or be shut down.

As for the firing of Jimmy Kimmel, Scott Pelley, Don Lemon, or Joy Reid being the fault of Donald Trump, they are completely mistaken and universally narcissistic. Some of these people are just not good at their craft, the ratings do not support them, or they are so self-absorbed that they defy their employers; they deserve to lose their jobs.

Rachel Maddow urged Scott Pelley to join her at MSNOW, but I guarantee she would never give up a dime of her multi-million dollar contract for one night of work. Whether politicians or talking heads on the Left are all talk, and for nothing unless it benefits them. Trump will continue to be a lightning rod on this subject, but he knows, as did our founding fathers, that this one right may be more important than any other we enjoy. Freedom of speech and a free press are essential to Democracy, and we on the Right believe in building up our Democracy, not exchanging it for any system proven never to work.
