MACDONALD: Minnesota Is, After All, Run By Democrats

Minnesota Democrats are making life unaffordable for everyone in the State, it seems, unless you open a learning center. But even that gig has come under fire as Federal fraud investigations look for the nine billion that disappeared up Minnesota’s skirt while Tim Walz was gushing over how great China is, and we know why? Fraud is how the place is run, and if you even mention it, forget investigating it, the wife of a party leader gets your liver, and someone else gets your kidneys.

Unless “the fraud” is stealing from the State. You keep your organs, and the crooks’ become donors.

China gets things done, but Walz wouldn’t want to lose his lungs over the fraud he’s overseen, so he’s trying something else. A distraction, perhaps.

In the private sector, a decline this precipitous would get any CEO fired or indicted. Textbooks should be written about such economic ineptitude, but instead of accountability or serious cost cutting to restore sound budgetary footing, Walz’ fellow Democrats chose a cowardly path: corporate extortion.

Of course, they do not call it such an ugly name. “Climate change superfund” sounds much more palatable.

Here’s how it works. Bill SF-4866 enables the Minnesota legislature to steal from individual energy companies they do not like turning them into scapegoats for bad weather. The left despises the fossil fuel industry anyway. “Big Oil” is a favorite pejorative, and this piece of legislation accomplishes many things at once: it targets big oil by making them the forever boogeyman, it steals their profits and most of all, it helps close that pesky budget shortfall.

The fact that liberals’ policies have put the state in financial peril be damned.

This bill represents everything that the modern American left has become sanctimonious and fiscally reckless, and if anyone questions the policy, fall back on the air cover of “the planet” and “fighting climate change”.

The State Legislature and governor are poised to do what Dems do best.

A group of 98 Minnesota mayors raised concerns with state leaders in a letter about their state’s fiscal policies, saying they have impacted their cities and residents, noting a disappearing $18 billion surplus and a projected $2.9 billion to $3 billion deficit for the 2028-29 biennium.

Turn surplus into deficit and drive the effect of that “leadership” down on everyone, whether they asked for it or not.

“There is a growing disconnect between state-level fiscal decisions and the strain they place on the cities we lead, the letter said. “When the state expands programs or shifts responsibilities without stable funding, it is our residents—families, seniors, businesses, and workers—who ultimately bear the cost.”

As the Fox News article notes, “Fraud, unchecked spending, and inconsistent fiscal management in St. Paul have trickled down to our cities—reducing our capacity to plan responsibly, maintain infrastructure, hire and retain employees, and sustain core services without overburdening local taxpayers.”

Let me just answer the hard question. They don’t care. A climate superfund that drives up the cost of energy exponentially is essential to the Democrat party agenda to control carbon, which both you and your letter are made out of, or impossible without it.

It is a pillar of the platform, unstated or understated, but sometimes stated out loud, that their vision for America is one in which everyone accepts that they can and should learn to live with less. That government knows best, should define what truth is, and manage everything from inside the Beltway, which is fine by People like Walz emulating that at the state level. He’d be more than happy to pass the buck to distant DC while still collecting his salary and whatever kickbacks The Party collects from the rampant fraud.

There are, of course, a few problems. Walz is nearing the end of his political career, and if Democrats got their way and nationalized everything, the fraud that used to pad their state coffers and local political pockets would, to DC, look a lot like it would to the CCP.

And they might just kill you for failure on that level, whether they need your organs or not.

Remember, “leaders” and activists, history shows us that once the Left has its one-party state, they don’t need to put up with you anymore. And while less than one percent might find a way to get a seat at the table and benefit from the status of Party leader, the rest of you will have a date face-down in a ditch with a hole in the back of your head.

Sure, you could try to run and hide, but thanks to your years of effort turning everyone into a snitch, it will be difficult or impossible to pull off.

Nothing good comes of Democrat rule, and the longer it goes, the worse it will get.
