True to form and even to some expectations, the heartless display that was aired during President Trump’s State of the Union speech, from the so-called democrat segment, was actually a revisit to and validation of what former Congressman Allen West’s declaration asserted way back in 2012. It was then that he stated, “There’s about 78-81 members of the Democrat Party that are members of the communist party.”
On three separate occasions, when a standing ovation was asked for, one in acknowledgement of American allegiance to their fellow countrymen, while the other two were more compassionate and heart-wrenching, due to the needless loss of life of two young ladies. Those representing what is still referred to as the democrat party, refused to stand. In retrospect, this produced the perfect reason and occasion so that we can finally rid ourselves of what has divided us. Ironically, the haters have provided the necessary encouragement to once again unite under “old glory.” Allen West blew the horn, so with this latest disgrace, the urgency for our reunification is now a demanding call for duty!
Most infuriating was their refusal to show their allegiance. Dismiss any notion that the refusal to stand was just another act of Trump defiance. This was an in-your-face admission from the foreign hearts and minds of those masquerading as caring American politicians. It was also an example of the foreign malignancy building within some of our own hearts and minds. For some, these words are difficult to read, even harder to admit, but if freedom and our children’s future are still our priorities, we need to bite the bullet!
A glimmer of support can be had by realizing that when this “age of information” dawned, none dared question its integrity. As trusting Americans, we generally accepted it all as gospel. However, just as the termite burrows unnoticed, so do those that invert our good nature into being our weakest link. The most glaring aspect of such instances is our trust in and belief in each politician’s election blather, which fuels our voting choices with confidence in their promised future. Modern results prove our susceptibility!
Following such a rare public admission of disloyalty, we should restrain our disgust with thanks for such an unabashed admission of their un-American motives. This needs to be our starting gate, our turnaround from the darkness of doubt and unknowing to the brilliance found on the more difficult path towards truthful awareness.
Remember that the easy road is jammed with the lost and eventually unfulfilled, while the less-traveled, more difficult path is lonely but always worth the effort. This parable reference is embedded with our human struggle, while the debris from the world’s less fortunate attests to the crowded but wrong option. Freedom enables our ability to avert the sadder of the two, but like anything that’s worthy of the struggle, freedom also comes with the heavy weight of responsibility, which only a minority of us willingly embrace!
Thomas Jefferson referenced this heavyweight by saying, “If we are to guard against ignorance and remain free, it is the responsibility of every American to be informed.” Today, it isn’t just about being informed, but about being properly informed!
