MACDONALD: Islam Keeps Winning

Whether you view the election as a win for Islam or not, the conquest of the West continues. Build a mosque. Use its cultural center to expand influence outward. Take cultural and then political control – politics, if you recall, is downstream from culture. America has more than a few places where Sharia is law, not the US Constitution, and if you haven’t noticed, after you build one mosque, the next step is to build another. New York City has more than 200 of them, and it just elected a radical Islamist mayor.

Cities like Hamtramck are run entirely by Muslims, and while Hamtramck appears at least religiously indifferent on its political face, true Muslims cannot stay that way for long. It’s not allowed. I’m also wondering when they plan to change the name of that city. Ham is forbidden food, after all.

Doubters abound, but most of them are progressives who see Islam as an ideological ally. Two totalitarian systems, one secular, the other as faith-bound as possible, each presuming that when the time comes, they will win out and rule America. Not that I don’t enjoy disappointing liberals, but you are going to lose.

They believe in something, you don’t. If it comes down to it, they will win.

Standing in their way are a bunch of people who also believe in something. Christians and Jews. Both have had to address decades of secular infringement on their religious rights, which the Left would never inflict on a Muslim. We need only look east to the European “west” to see how that will end.

The cancellation of this year’s Christmas market in Overath near Cologne fits perfectly into this picture. High security costs to protect visitors from terrorism make it impossible to open. The city refused to cover the organizer’s expenses.
The same now in Dresden – several smaller private Christmas markets cancelled because security costs exploded.

For one and a half years, the market association tried to negotiate with city officials, said Andreas Korschmann, head of the town marketing group.

Wouldn’t this be precisely the moment for the city to step up? Aren’t politicians always preaching about civic engagement and vibrant local life?

But there is no sign of courage, no standing up for a free, tolerant society. Just hollow political phrases for their own feel-good bubble.

In Overath, Islamists have managed – without any real resistance – to push aside a piece of tradition and communal life.

Outside knife-free zones and heavily policed city centers, a chilling silence spreads.

Keep in mind that the reason Christian culture and Christmas Markets are ending is due to groups of violent Muslim men. The chaos includes raping German girls and women. It is organized, deliberate, and the German government and the police are not willing or capable of doing anything about it.

I’d say they don’t care, but I think it’s more likely that their leadership is too woke to lift a finger, and how is this not at all like how Hitler’s Nazis let the brownshirts do whatever they pleased if it advanced or supported an ideological preference?

The Woke European elites hate Christianity, so allowing Islamic thugs to push it into dark, quiet corners is a win. It is something American elites ought to welcome as well. In fact, it’s one of the easiest ways to identify them, even when they pretend to be Christian.

It’s almost as if they’d be happy to see Islam win as long as Christianity disappeared from the face of the American landscape, or even the world, no matter the consequences.
