Over the many years since Vietnam, the caliber of our governance has only strengthened my skepticism and doubt. It also had me coming to grips with “we weren’t in it to win it!” And now, this recent election has justified my suspicions. It also validated my seemingly lifelong question, “Just what would Americans defend?” Admittedly, today’s events have provided a disturbing answer that should blend in with the following.
Being lucky enough to return home, return to my job, get married, and have a family, I found it trying at times when witnessing the government’s unauthorized policies, in addition to a lack of any public response. Needless to say, my skeptical nature never enjoyed a day off. In addition to all this, a public susceptabilty began to hover from ignoring the fact that, America isn’t perfect, but she sure as hell is the best place to live and love!
From then till now, it seems as though there’s been a non-stop public unrest, which lately has degenerated from a loud mob to street thuggery and violence. Added to this is the lack of proper enforcement or even an available ear! Also, the public’s right to protest has been intertwined by the financial world’s hiring of an army of paid protesters!
My original query has been neutered since now, defending America is not an option, but a must. What has just taken place has finalized the last piece to the puzzle, which also depicts the unthinkable! What it has revealed is that one of America’s two major political parties has actually joined with the enemy! This aligns with the last century since every war occurred during a democrat Presidency. This communist embrace raises suspicions as to just when this kinship actually began! Just another question but still, America’s misguided alliances and mistrust have evolved into a fight for her survival!
Today’s so-called politics is now mean and adversarial! This is the result of a threat never considered. What was once the democrat party has now revealed its true communist self, simply in defense of its first real threat! We all have come to know and either like or hate Donald Trump, but seriously, just what justifies his hate, and what is so damning about America to warrant her demise? If truth be known, America has bent over backwards to accommodate all its complainers. Admittedly, barriers of social, cultural, legal, and historical significance have been revised and/or eliminated simply to please.
Despite America’s benevolence and Trump’s list of successes, both Trump’s removal and America’s extinction are theoretically necessary. Trump for his threat and America for her obvious merits, which, by her mere presence, already provide what the communists can only promise. While a vibrant America remains, comparisons tend to weaken the utopian chants of the communists!
Where in today’s America do we start to protect? Well, the most obvious is in the area that has provided the damn communists with so many rewards: education! Our public education has always operated on shaky ground since it’s unconstitutional. Whatever it takes, all Americans need to protect what should be cherished the most: their Country and their children, since without either, who, what, or why are we?
