Mr. Trump has a way of making Democrats take irrational stands. It’s so easy he barely has to try. “You know, Quaker Oats are the best oats there are. The most beautiful oats anyone has ever seen.” Headline: Stores selling Quaker Oats vandalized, firebombed, Quaker’s assaulted as they cry out, “We don’t even make that cereal.”
Easy peasy.
Mr. Trump’s most recent foray into this space is to “ban” flag burning, but before he moved that pawn, he took on something much more serious. An issue that affects many Democrats and, more specifically, Democrats of color. Crime. He’s using available resources to enforce the laws as written (in DC), a very Democratic thing to do, and Democrats have come out against it.
Democrats were always pro-crime on paper. The same paper they used to claim crime is down, by which they mean we are recording fewer crimes, not that less crime has occurred. Anyone living in this utopia knows crime rises under Democrat rule. Still, in practical terms, the left does a decent job of hiding it from everyone who isn’t directly impacted by it daily.
By cleaning up DC, Trump is showing a city that is roughly 97% registered Demcorat what life might be like, without the dirty, crime-riddled streets. He is also cleaning it up for America’s 250th Birthday and, at least by some accounts, securing the landscape for a likely series of high-profile indictments. Whatever the reasons, Trump is fulfilling a promise to be tough on crime at the same time Democrats are swooning over Zohran Mamdani, the socialist who is promising to be the criminal’s candidate.
While President Donald Trump is working to make the nation’s capital safer, Zohran Mamdani, New York City’s socialist mayoral frontrunner and his compatriots at the Democratic Socialists of America said they want to eradicate the enforcement of all misdemeanor offenses, the New York Post reported Sunday. ..
While on the campaign trail, Mamdani himself has regularly demanded law enforcement quit focusing on what he calls “nonserious crimes.” Instead, Mamdani said he thinks police should only be focusing on violent offenses, of which he has attempted to challenge the definition.
“What violent crime is—is defined by the state. Violence is an artificial construction,” said Mamdani in 2021 at a protest aimed toward ending cash bail and shutting down Rikers Island prison, something he said he still wants to do.
New York Dems are loving it. Polls show Mamdani with a nearly 20-point lead over the next closest challenger, handsy, grandma-killing Andrew Cuomo. Barring unforeseen circumstances, what Mamdani is selling is what New York will buy and pay for, including the very policies that helped Trump attract minority voters, and that frame Democrats as the party of crime.
You’d almost have to wonder whether Mamdani is on Trump’s payroll.
It is just too perfect a storm. Dems defend criminal aliens, criminal homeless camps (and policies that make more people homeless), drug and human traffickers, property crime, women and girls raped by men pretending to be women to gain access to prey, and now, Mamdani, the newest dem darling inside and outside of the five boroughs, promises more of that.
Trump: We need to do something about crime.
Mamdani: Wait until you see how much crime there can be.
Democrats: We love that Mamdani guy, he’s so dreamy.

In June, Mamdani told NBC News, “I don’t think we should have billionaires.”
The truly ironic bit is that Zohran Mamdami is a proper Democrat Socialist, a true socialist who uses the Democrat party to advance communism. Democracy is, as the founders of communism had admitted, their friend. It is the systemic acceptance of mob rule, and it accelerates the path to communism. Democratic socialism is a stepping stone, an artistic flourish that draws us closer to the cliff’s edge. Once you’ve stepped off it, a totalitarian police state is the only thing that can protect the people in power. Mamdami’s embrace of crime creates the chaos needed to get the people to demand order.
This is why Democrats are and always will be the party of crime. It facilitates the transition to the despotic police state they crave. Mamdam, he’s just a proper Democrat socialist, by which I mean a liar who knows where it all leads.
A miserable two-class system (rulers and ruled) built on political favors and dependency, with a more blatantly discriminatory two-class justice system.
And democrats are in love with what, from 30,000 feet, looks like another Trump trap, but they built this one themselves.
