Party of Crime Should Probably Stop Committing Them B4 The Midterms

If Democrats want to move the needle in 2026 (in their political favor) they might consider the crime problem. Democrats are defending illegal alien criminals, including violent gang members. Democrats are not denouncing crimes. Democrat rhetoric sounds criminal (threats, anger, etc). Democrats lost in 2024 in part by being soft on crime.

Democrats are committing crimes against Democrats.

I’m not sure what the strategy is. We argue openly for resistance. When it manifests itself as criminal activity, we ignore it, say nothing, or keep advocating resistance, even when it is against registered Democrats.

Looking back to the Biden years and the Soros DAs, one of several drivers of urban defections to Trump and Republicans was crime. The illegals (here illegally, no matter what you call them) were also committing crimes against the Democrat constituency. They took jobs, sucked up resources, and got deference. Angry city-dwelling Dems took it out on the party electorally.

Leap to 2025, and we’ve got Democrats arguing against the deportation of illegal alien gangs and their members. Violent criminals, profiting from poisoning kids (drugs), trafficking women and children, whom some of them assault, rape, and murder.

The statistics vary, but a majority of Americans are concerned about crime. Right before the election, 64% believed there was more crime than the year before, with 56% seeing the problem as serious or extreme. The actual numbers were likely higher – the polling cites changes in Democrat opinion as the reason it dropped from 77% in 2023.

Issues polling weeks or days before an election (this was Gallup) are more suspicious than their presidential polling, especially in hindsight. Yes, the economy was the number one concern driving Democrats to vote for Trump, but crime and the illegal alien invasion were not far behind.

Whichever numbers you prefer, crime is still an issue to American voters especially where crime is more common, densely populated Democrat districts.

The party response is business as usual, punctuated by very public displays of criminal activity in the name of the Democrats’ so-called sudden and dishonest objection to oligarchs. Crimes against your political enemies are still crimes that undermine any argument for civility or putting people before politics. Unity, in other words, is also off the table. You’ve proven we can’t get along and that there is no middle ground, especially after telling Schumer to step down after he avoided a government shutdown.

Your only hope is to lobby for an economic downturn, high inflation, and more complicated foreign entanglements. But these are things you can’t say out loud, so maybe start simply: Stop committing and endorsing crime and defending criminals.

I don’t think you can.
