Dems Want to Shove a 4 trillion Dollar Tax Hike Down Your Throat!

The Republican-majority Congress has a significant amount of work to do, and regardless of the outcome, it will likely be unable to please everyone, especially us. But no one will be as displeased as Democrats, but should we care? You can’t make them happy. Even when they get their destructive, miserable way, until they’ve made everyone miserable, their work is not done.

On that note, Congress is working on tax reform. The 2017 Trump tax cuts, which created an economic boom (until Democrats found a way to wreck it), expire this year. The GOP needs to get a deal done and they’ve only just agreed to agree on how to start to do that.

That sounds uninspiring, but it is on plan, and it did manage something great in the process. At every opportunity, Democrats voted to allow the tax cuts to expire. They voted repeatedly to saddle American taxpayers with 4 trillion dollars in tax hikes. Child Tax Credit cut in half. Standard deduction cut in half.

With the economy looking to turn itself around, this would be a death blow. We need the cuts renewed, made permanent, plus the promise of no taxes on tips, social security, things that benefit retirees and the working class.

So, no – these are not tax cuts for the rich, and not just because the cuts are already in place; this is a concerted effort by Republicans to extend them or make them permanent. To keep the Feds out of your pockets. Any suggestion to the contrary is a lie and not even a good one.

Rich people won’t notice whether these cuts are made permanent or not. You and I will get hammered. Small businesses will be hit hard as existing cuts will also be eliminated. There are no wealthy folks collecting tips or living on the social security safety net.

This is about screwing middle America hard or stopping it from happening.

Democrats voted for massive economic ruin time after time because they love taxes and ruin – and let’s be honest, they would screw anyone for the potential political advantage. A crap-economy going into 2026 could hand them both chambers of congress, and they couldn’t care less if it wrecks your life or lifestyle, but they’ve handed you the cudgel with which to defeat that effort.

Ask them.

Why are you lying about tax cuts? These cuts are already in place; this extends them. Why are you calling them tax cuts for the rich when it is middle-income taxpayers who will get hit hardest if they expire?

With the economy this fragile, why would you hammer me with 4 trillion in tax hikes while cutting and lowering the standard deductions and child tax credits?

Do you hate me?

They might not admit it, but they do, even if they don’t realize it. Remember what Nancy Pelosi admitted. Collateral damage is acceptable if it elects Democrats or advances their agenda.

Keeping these tax cuts helps regular Americans.
