You will never see a sports team call in the press after finishing at the bottom of the standings to tout your season’s success. Nobody wants to hear how you worked hard and reached your goal of securing the number one draft pick. To do so would be embarrassing, and everyone would see it as self-grandiosity. But that is exactly what Joe Biden did on Monday. This act was a pure example of gaslighting which – to its credit – is the only thing it has been good at.
Joe Biden is leaving office and ending his fifty-plus-year run in Washington with barely a 30% approval rating and is still telling the world that he would have beaten Donald Trump had he not passed the torch to Kamala Harris, who proved to be one of the worst campaigners in modern history. If he genuinely believes the rhetoric he delivers on his farewell tour, then senility, like ignorance, is bliss.
Karine Jeane-Pierre cannot blame senility on her gaslighting campaign, but she has certainly proven her ignorance. She has been a one-woman cheerleading squad telling anyone who will listen that she has assembled the greatest White House Press Staff ever to take the podium. Tony Scott and Jim Brady, for who the briefing room is named, are surely spinning in their graves, listening to the echoes of KJP. Neither one of them carried the most enormous loose-leaf binder known to man into battle with the press-they only needed their intelligence and a grasp of reality.
Who on Biden’s inept staff thought it was a wise idea to refresh everyone’s memory of the disaster in Kabul and have the President claim the disastrous pull-out of Afghanistan that took the lives of 13 brave men and women of our military a success? It was probably the same person who told Joe to brag about leaving the most potent military possible to his successor while two wars were raging in the Middle East and Ukraine. Nobody believes you, Joe, and you are solidifying the fact that 70% of Americans think we are in a worse place than four years ago, and at that time, the country was still recovering from COVID-19. More people died under the watchful eye of Biden than under Trump, yet Joe likes to refer to Trump’s handling of the Pandemic as a failure. What, then, does that make Biden’s handling?
The 2024 election proved that America is coming out of its gaslight-fed stupor and is moving towards the center where America had traditionally been. Even John Fetterman, who everyone took for a loon, is migrating to the Right and even took a trip to Mar-a-Lago to meet with his new President. If anyone had told you four years ago the Fetterman would stand in Joe Biden’s wake with more credibility than Joe, you would have been called irrational, which is precisely the dubious spot owned by President Joe Biden as he leaves the White House damaged for Donald Trump to repair. Thank God Trump is up to the task.
