Trump’s Virtual Cabinet

Okay, if this is the way things are going to go, here’s what I think Trump should do.  He should tell the Senate:

“You just pick whoever you want for whatever positions require your consent.  I don’t even care who they are.  You can just pick names out of the phone book.

“Because here’s what’s going to happen to them.  I’ll put them in offices, with their official titles on the doors, and they’ll get paychecks, along with instructions to do absolutely nothing except what I tell them to do.  I’ll put pieces of paper in front of them to be signed, and they’ll sign those pieces of paper.

“And the guys you don’t want to confirm?  They’ll be the ones advising me about what to put on those pieces of paper.  But the final decisions will be mine, and mine alone.  So you can have your hearings, where you get to feel important, and pretend that you’re going to keep me from doing what I was elected to do.  And I’ll get on with the business of making America great again.”
