As we slouch towards the end of the world as we know it, it’s worth remembering that Democrats could have pretty much everything they want if they would only handle it themselves and leave everyone else out of it.
There are more Democrats in America than there are people in many European countries. If every registered Democrat turned over his bank account information to the DNC, the party could privately fund
- $25,000 gifts to first-time Democrat home buyers
- Forgivable loans to Democrats who want to start small businesses
- Single-payer healthcare for Democrats, including travel expenses to the many states that will always provide abortions
- Subsidized daycare for Democrats
- Subsidized housing for Democrats
- Subsidized schooling for Democrats
- Subsidized meals for Democrats
Each registered Democrat would pay according to his ability and receive benefits according to his needs. Which is what they say they want, right?
Why can’t Democrats just do the things they want for Democrats without having to also do them to everyone else? Could it be that while the people in the party want results, the leaders of the party are more interested in power?
