Quick Shot: Corruption in California?

A story about corruption in California isn’t likely to surprise anyone, or that Los Angeles might be the corruption Mecca. It’s a big city with lots of Libs, a lot of money, one-party rule, and a bit of political corruption. How much? Four LA city council members have been investigated in the past year, with three convicted and the fourth still awaiting judgment. But it’s not just LA, which happens to be Kamala’s Rehobeth if anyone asks.

According to Justice Department reports, during the last 10 years, a whopping 576 public officials in California have been convicted on federal corruption charges, more than New York, New Jersey, and Illinois put together. This explains a lot.

Democrats do not typically care what crap or corruption their ideological brethren engage in unless exposing it provides some advantage. Climbers, movers, opportunists. And appearing to combat corruption a common Marxist party game. Look, we found some bad people, and they are going to jail. LA Commissioner Jose Huizar is going away for thirteen years. Jose was taking every sort of bribe you can imagine. Fancy Hotel stays, cash, prostitutes, poker chips. He was dirty, and maybe too dirty, and obviously so. But 576 public officials over ten years are 57 dirty dogs every year.

It is a big state. There are a large number of “public” officials. It is also a Democrat majority state legislature with a Dem governor, and the left controls all the big cities. Fifty-seven a year seems a bit light to me.
