The Deadline for Replacing Biden on the Ballot

Ingram County (Michigan) Clerk Barb Byrum has sounded an alarm for everyone pushing to replace Biden as their Presidential nominee. By law (at least in Michigan, maybe everywhere), the party’s Presidential and vice presidential nominees must be certified within one business day after either the national or state convention, whichever is the latest. It, therefore, is the deadline for replacing Biden on the ballot.

She describes this as a looming crisis, given that it’s about a month and a half away.

The problem is that military and absentee ballots must be printed and sent out by a date certain and that is for every state. Barb says the closer to that deadline, the more “herculean” (her term) the task will be.

I’m not the least sympathetic, as they have backed themselves into this corner using every underhanded, dishonest maneuver they could think of.

Adding to the plot, Joe and Jill Biden have shown zero interest in what may be best for their party, insisting they are in it to win. Jill will not let Joe step aside. How sad! Now, all can see the truth: It isn’t about what is best for the nation or the party; it’s all about a couple of overblown egos. Isn’t that what we conservatives have been saying? I think so!

As for the newly enlightened democrats and media shocked by the realization that what we on the right have been saying since the first time Joe announced his candidacy back in 2019 – we were! These folk lived with their denial and misinformation and are scrambling to recover destroyed credibility. They want Joe to gracefully step aside for the good of America. The Party? Their egos?

That leaves, what, the 25th Amendment possibility? Geeze, and therein is another bucketload of problems for them. The infighting could be brutal, with so many high-paying, prestigious jobs on the line for all sides. How likely will any quick resolution come from that dogfight? Who knows?

Democrats might be stuck with Joe Biden on their ticket, come what may.
