GIP: Government As Envisioned by Our Founding Fathers!

I had the distinct pleasure of volunteering to help with one of New Hampshire’s most historic grassroots movements to successfully restore integrity to New Hampshire Government.

During my volunteer experience, I represented a group of united, cutting-edge critical thinkers and patriots who are part of a sophisticated independent organization called the Government Integrity Project (GIP). This organization is non-partisan. It was recently formed to address the disturbing election issues in Windham, New Hampshire’s November 2020 election, and expanded its front, aiming to hold elected and appointed officials accountable for abuse of power.

My experience with the GIP provided support for a write-in candidate in the Danville, New Hampshire town election that was delayed from March 9th to July 13th due to covid. The write-in candidate felt compelled to run against a selectwoman who abused her power – which led to the forceful arrest of an elderly grandmother for not wearing a mask to a meeting.

There were several difficult challenges that had to be addressed in order to get our candidate elected; very few Danville residents knew there was a delayed election being held on July 13th; our candidate was not listed on the ballot – so voters would need to write in his name in the correct place on the ballot; there were no contested races of any real consequence to the town – so voter turnout was expected to be very low.

This prompted a massive effort on multiple fronts. I was involved with the canvassing effort to personally bring awareness to Danville residents. This required me to drive 2 hours one way to knock on doors and engage homeowners. I gladly made this trip multiple times.

In my first experience with the GIP, I was teamed up with a lovely lady named Cheryl. Together we knocked on about 50 doors in Danville. We left informational flyers, spoke with residents who were home to see if they were aware of what was going on in their local government, and made them aware of the upcoming election. While walking between houses, I learned Cheryl was fired from her job for simply not wearing a mask. Yet, here she was, dedicating an afternoon of her day to serve Danville with hopes that even just a few people would become aware of a similar type of abuse taking place locally.

Another day, I volunteered to call 50 Danville, New Hampshire residents to make them aware of the write-in campaign and to emphasize why it was important to vote. I connected with some people and left voicemails when machines answered. I knew every call was worth the effort.

Last, I dedicated a few hours on the weekend before the election to canvass in front of the Danville Market. I politely offered Danville residents a pamphlet highlighting the town election details and stressed the importance of showing up to vote.

There were other efforts going on behind the scenes that the GIP leadership was involved with, e.g., working with local residents on the design, printing, and placement of signs… as well as the design, printing, and mailing of direct flyers to Danville homes. There were other creative strategies that were put into place that made a huge difference on election day.

Winning a write-in election is very difficult. But to my surprise, our write-in candidate won by 58 votes to oust a tyrant from office. My experience taught me that every vote does make a difference – and that when we all work together… we can move mountains. The success of this endeavor is a testament to the vision and resiliency of the GIP and all of their nearly 60 volunteers who fought to restore liberty to Danville.

All it takes is a group of people to stand for a cause without glory or selfish desire. We (GIP volunteers and Danville Patriots) shook the ground in Danville when our write-in candidate was announced the winner! This is just the beginning of restoring true, representative government as envisioned by our Founding Fathers.

If you would also like to help restore liberty in our government, I recommend you reach out to the GIP:  www.gipamerica.org. It feels great to be able to make a positive difference!
