On April 19, there was a hearing in the NH Senate Judiciary Committee for HB1625, the Sidewalk Free Speech Act, which would repeal the never-used free speech suppression zones around abortion facilities.
It immediately followed a hearing on a popular second amendment rights bill HB1778 (Irohibiting the state from enforcing any federal statute, regulation, or Presidential Executive Order that restricts or regulates the right of the people to keep and bear arms) with many liberty activists testifying in favor of that bill.
NH Liberty Alliance called out both HB1625 and HB1178 in their list of important committee hearings for that week.
When the hearing for HB1178 ended I expected that the liberty activists would leave and the pro-life activists would be the only ones staying for the HB1625 hearing. I was surprised and delighted when two liberty activists stayed to testify for HB1625, Zephan, and Leigh.

In both of their testimonies, they stressed that they do not support laws against abortion but they do support the rights of those who wish to gather and speak on the public sidewalk outside abortion facilities.
