The Character of the Organizer on Display

o_middlefinger3I’ve written before about how Obama’s puerile self-impressed and vain nature precludes him from persuading anyone, but it also manifests itself in other more repugnant demonstrations by himself and his acolytes.

Whether it’s accidental or intentional, acquiring the 800 numbers to spell 1-800-****-YO is consistent with the class level and sense of respect and propriety that this community organizer and his wretched minions have. You can take the Organizer out of the community, but you can’t take the bedraggled crime riddled community out of the heathen Organizer. I have no doubt, if it were up to him, there would be graffiti and filth all over the White House.

Funny, just a few weeks ago I read about the infestation of rat and cockroaches scurrying the floorboards in 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Whether the Organizer brought them or not he probably feels right at home just like in his provincial estate in the murder capital of the country. It’s like being back on the blood soaked streets shadowed by rats fattened by the blood, filth and flesh, and roaches so grotesquely engorged they appear more as walking shot-glasses than insects.

Blogline of the Day – the true nature of Obama

“Do you really think the man who vandalized the World War II Memorial with barricades to make elderly veterans suffer will hesitate a microsecond to use your health care as leverage against you, the next time you defy his commands?” – John Hayward

Data Point – Standard of living goes up, it’s cost goes down

Bottom Line: The comparison of the “time cost” of appliances over time above confirms what Aparna finds in her analysis – average (and low-income) Americans today are much better off today than they were 20, 30, 40 or 50 years ago, thanks in large part to the significant reductions in the cost of common household … Read more

Who is supposed to be in charge here??

WE own it – not you!  WE own it – not Government.  You are MERELY the caretakers of our stuff – learn your place!

We often show much deference to those that work in Government – and generally more to elected officials (I think more so the higher the office and the further away they are – which makes NH so special as we just treat them just like the folks down the street).  But certainly, from my view point as one of those citizens that the DC based politicians love to lay the Hate on (um, a probably more than a few, on both sides of the aisle, here in NH ’cause I seldom keep quiet) simply because I stand for a limited government that spends within its citizens’ means and within Constitutional boundaries and values.  And a government that knows its Proper Role – which it does not seem to understand anymore at the Federal level.  From what I see of Obama, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi (and yes, some on the Republican side as well) et al.

Another story like that of Obama refusing to let the WW II Vets into their own memorial – Great Smokey National Park (emphasis mine, reformatted):

So, we still plan to hike in Great Smoky National Park, but we have chosen a trail where we can park outside the park on private land and then hike into the park. We intend to defy any ranger we meet who tries to stop us, but by not putting a vehicle in a vulnerable position under their control, we give them less power over us in such circumstances.

Finally, I want to make one more point. This is the United States of America, supposedly “the land of the free and the home of the brave.” Yet, in my essay above I describe how American citizens are either hiding from or protecting themselves from agents of our government, even though they have done nothing wrong.

Data Point – Public holds a low view of Federal Workers

NSA, IRS, EPA, and now (er, WW II Vets), the National Park Service) – this is surprising? More than one-third of survey respondents — 35 percent — voiced “little or no confidence” in federal workers, up sharply from 23 percent in 2011. Only 19 percent of voters said they have “a lot of confidence” in … Read more

President Tantrum Shuts Down Parks Feds Don’t Even Fund

Obma Barricdes private parks as show of force
Barry-Cade

This is an excellent example of the hubris of Obama and the Democrat run Federal Government.  These Demo-brats are so mad that they didn’t get their way–that ‘way’ being the unsustainable continued and unobstructed growth and debt accumulation of the Federal government–that they are sending Federal Park Officials to shut down “parks” that are not funded by the Federal government.

These are places that have no reliance on Federal money.  None of their employees work for the Federal Government. Obama might as well have set up Barry-cades around all the Home Depot’s or McDonald’s in the country as an expression of what can happen when his government has a partial shutdown.

I have kids.  They were toddlers for a time.  This is a temper tantrum.

Now, here IS a guy that I could get EXCITED about in CD-1!

From the Union Leader (emphasis mine, reformatted)

Conservative radio talk show host Jeff Chidester said Tuesday he has been approached by “numerous people inside the state and outside the state” about the possibility of running for the 1st District U.S. House seat. Chidester, a Republican, said he is considering it but feels in no rush to decide.

Republican Former U.S. Rep. Frank Guinta has announced his candidacy for the seat now held by Democratic U.S. Rep. Carol Shea-Porter, while another Republican, former University of New Hampshire business school dean Dan Innis, is also strongly considering it.

SEIU “Protesters” Paid to March on WWII Memorial

WWII MemorialBy now you have heard about the petty technocrats in the Obama Administration creating obstacles to open air monuments as a public political display about the government shutdown.  Keep in mind, it would actually cost the government more of your money to send Park Police to set up barricades around an open-air monument that are otherwise never there in the first place.   Thus the term “open-air” monument.  Put another way, when it comes to adding a blockade where one did not previously exist, the Obama Administration can say that the government… ‘Built That.”

Could the optics of that get any worse for Democrats?  Lets Hope so.

Shutdown Opportunity….Democrats Work Hard To Show You Where You Can Eliminate Federal Influence

The White Mountains of New Hampshire are part of a National Park but it appears that this park is still open and operating (Too big to put barricades around, perhaps?) despite the Democrat’s “create-ways-to-make-it-hurt” fever for the flavor of a shutdown. (Tastes bitter, doesn’t it?)

News Nicht (I mean Nine)

There are few signs of the federal government shutdown, but some locations where visitors could get help are closed.

“Largely it’s the federal employees that work for the White Mountains National Forest who will be seeing the effect, and they are being laid off and furloughed for the time being,” said Cheryl Reardon of the White Mountains Visitor Association.

I have a simple conservative solution to this so-called “problem.”

Efficient Gun Control That Actually Makes Sense

Efficient Gun Control that makes sense: (Note–on 1-20-14 I am editing some incorrect details copied from the original quote and adding a few of my own–Steve)

In 1863 (April 15) 1865 a Democrat shot and killed Abraham Lincoln, President of the United States.

In (July 2) 1881 a left wing radical Democrat shot James Garfield, President of the United States, who later died from the wound.

In (Nov 22) 1963 a radical left wing socialist shot and killed John F. Kennedy, President of the United States.

In (Sept 5 -Fromme) (Sept 22–Moore) 1975 (two different)  left wing radicals fired shots at Gerald Ford, President of the United States.

In 1983 a registered Democrat shot and wounded Ronald Reagan, President of the United States.

She’s just NOW figuring this out?

Obama’s disdain for us all – you know what 1-800-318-2596 is?

Disdain.  From the “Can’t make this up – it HAS to be deliberate” department: Sometimes, you just have to laugh. Yesterday, HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius made the MSM blitz by announcing the website, glitches and all, and the national call-in center, which is 1-800-318-2596. Now to make this work, you have to skip the 1, … Read more

And Progressives want you to give them MORE power?

  • US Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid denying a little child ill with cancer the help she needs
  • President Obama’s shutting down “open air” memorials that honor our Veterans.
  • NH CongressCritters Kuster, Shea-Porter, and Shaheen voting against money for WIC and TANF that helps “the most vulnerable amongst us”.

In fact, Democrats are pretty much voting against anything that would release the shutdown chokehold.  Now, don’t get me wrong – some departments should be kept shutdown in a large way – the States can handle these functions (e.g., EPA – we have an NH DES, DoEd – we have our own NH Dept of Education) and should.  Others as well.  In most of these cases, the money reality is that the above money is “power grabbed” from the States to begin with, and then “extorted” back (to use a Democrat word du jour) to us – with strings / cables attached.  But I digress.

Stupidest NH Headline of the Day

And the newly crowned owner of this dubious award (or, at least, the owner of  the byline to which it is attached) is John DiStaso of the Union Leader.  I’ve gone back and looked at it several times over the day, still scratching my head over it:

NH still operating despite federal shutdown

Was this a sigh of relief?  Or a total jaw dropping reaction of surprise?  Or (especially if one is totally convinced that only Biggest Govt is able to care for us little people) a jaw dropping disappointment that perhaps the High Church of the Alter of Almighty Gubmint didn’t really matter much?  That things

think about – er, maybe we can get along without it?

You Handed them the Hammer, And Now You Complain That They’re Hitting You With It?

If you’re upset that a service or function that you depend on is not available because of the shutdown, then do the right thing: work to privatize it, or move it local and free yourself from the whims of temporary, remote politicians.

You trust her with delivering your needs?
Would you trust her with delivering your needs?

Why on earth would you subject the delivery of an essential need to political winds? Have you seen the way these people operate?

They’re the same people that oversee and repeatedly exacerbate Leviathan’s follies. Like the employment of 96% of nonessential personnel to run a Federal Department? Who does that? How does that make sense?

Once again, they stormed a beachhead for their Country against a foe that has only disdain for them.

I watched the Obama Administration issue the “Washington Monument Act” strategy (e.g., shut down citizen-popular stuff to extract the most amount of pain and frustration) by fiat that all National Parks be closed – even those areas that normally not manned like the War Memoriasl on the National Mall that are ordinarily “open air”.  He and his minions smiled – once again, pulling the Community Organizer tool box out in agitating the crowds towards the outcome they wanted.  The Imperious President thundering forth “I don’t have to offer ANYTHING” – as he targets the House Republicans just as he used to do the Chicago elites.  Well worn, well played, and successful.

Cakewalk, they thought.  We can cower anyone.  Except a monkey wrench showed up.  A few hundred, actually

A bunch of old, enfeebled WW II Vets, from whose ranks thousands are  dying every day, came to DC.  Some walking, some behind walkers, many being wheeled to THEIR memorial earned those decades ago as THEIR gift to the nation. And many paid that ultimate gift for the rest of us.  The survivors simply made the journey (by gifts by others to them for this) to see what a grateful nation gifted back to them.  THEIR MEMORIAL earned by their blood, their wounds, and their dead buddies.

In front of them, in their way, stood Obama.
