Former Atkinson Police Chief, Phil Consentino was just sworn in as a new Atkinson Selectman, and as could be predicted, the Lawrence Eagle Tribune has a picture of another Atkinson Selectman shaking hands with Consentino.

Yuck! Has this guy read the sexual harassment complaint that resulted in Consentino giving up his police chief job last year? I know they have it.

The Lawrence Eagle Tribune has always had a crush on Consentino which defies real reporting logic.

But it’s their paper so let’s make them a real story as a “balance” to real reporting in general.

Obama is America’s “Commander in Brief” – Misses Another National Security Meeting, But Has Been ‘Briefed.’

The title ‘Commander in Chief,’ for the remainder of Mr. Obama’s tenure at least, should be changed to ‘The Commander in Brief.’ WASHINGTON (Reuters) – President Barack Obama’s national security team discussed the Ukraine crisis in a session at the White House on Saturday after a last-ditch bid to find a diplomatic solution to the … Read more

Armed Woman Thwarts Armed Robbery Attempt

Democrats want to disarm women.  Make them victims.  But they don’t have to listen. A pizza delivery woman thwarted an armed robbery attempt at a house off Rosehill Road on Thursday by producing a weapon of her own, Fayetteville police said. Ashley Marie Hurd, 26, a driver for Domino’s Pizza, took the order to a … Read more

Prager U – What Did Your Parents Most Want You to Be?

Prager University When parents boast about their children with other people, what do most say first? Is it how nice they are to strangers? Or how much volunteering they did last year? Usually not. More often, they talk about their good grades in school, or the prestigious college they went to, or the much sought … Read more

In segment one we visit Jeanne Shaheen’s Global Warming problem, as well as her Obscene Civility.  We talk Democrat minimum wage eugenicists, global breeding habits, some post-election observations on Joe Kenney’s win, how Steve can’t possibly have his vote ‘suppressed,’ some musings on the funding habits of establishment Republicans in the Kenney race, and yes–we … Read more

Disarm or Leave

The Blaze Wagoner County Sheriff Bob Colbert traveled to Oklahoma City, the state’s capitol, earlier this week with 40 other sheriffs from around the state like they do every year — to meet with politicians and lobby. Everything was going fine in the state capitol building on Tuesday. More than that, “everybody in that building knew … Read more

Extreme Shaheen Campaign Money Snapshot. (Udated)

Did you know that Jeanne Shaheen gets 75% of her campaign contributions from outside the state of New Hampshire? 79% of her donors are PAC’s and one-percenters. 92% are ideological extremists or Big Business. And her PAC is funded, in order, by Lawyers, Elected Political insiders, EMILY’s List, Lobbyists, and Big Banks. Update: I just … Read more

Extreme Shaheen

Locally ‘Grown’ – When You Keep The Political Power Local It’s Easier To Remove The Weeds.

locally_grownFrom Stephen Green: Green is remarking on how Japan’s “buy your way to prosperity binge” has failed miserably and what the real solution is…

Deregulate. Simplify the tax code. Protect the value of your currency. Those three steps are all it takes to achieve prosperity, but as Glenn Reynolds like to say, politicians don’t like them because they provide too few opportunities for graft.

Central planning is the first rule in optimizing graft.  Three and Four trillion-dollar Federal budgets, 8 trillion in new debt (almost as much as from the 230 years that preceded them) with nothing to show for it but twice as much debt.  Nothing to show, unless you are part of the political class, a crony, a lobbyist, or some other barnacle on the rump of DC.

That whole scenario really makes the case for defending state sovereignty and optimizing local control.

NH Medicaid Expansion and the ‘Third Way’

NH Calling all leadersFor some reason, this paragraph from Jonah Goldberg’s Liberal Fascism made me think of the Medicaid Expansion cabal of NH Republican State Senators…(and all Democrats).

The “Middle Way” sounds moderate and un-radical.  Its appeal is that it sounds unideological and freethinking.  But philosophically the Third Way is not mere difference splitting; it is utopian and authoritarian.  Its utopian aspect becomes manifest in it antagonism to the idea that politics is about trade-offs.  The Third Wayer says that there are no false choices–“I refuse to accept that X should com at the expense of Y.”

THANKS for calling us the other Elephant – and what it really means!

MEH

We consider DaTechGuy (Pete Ingemi, a nationally recognized blogger and radio host) as being one of our ‘Grok friends.  If we have set up at an event and he shows up, we ALWAYS make sure he has a seat at our table.  Smart, persistent, and a genuinely nice guy, I’m happy we’ve gotten to know him.  But he can also be brutally honest when it comes to reporting on politics even if it means he could take a hit – or hit his friends.  I saw his tweet:

and went to read the piece (emphasis mine).

That’s really the issue,  Browns decision to run appears to people in NH as something imposed from on high and that brings up another sore spot in the state that can best be illustrated by what or rather who I didn’t see at NLRC 2014.

Oh, I’m quite sure

WMUROn today’s WMUR’s CloseUP, Josh McElveen interviewed both Scott Brown and his wife.  He posed a question to Scott (emphasis mine):

[Bob Smith said]: You’re so liberal that you should be in a primary with Jeanne Shaheen

And the way that Scott Brown answered the question, it seem like a challenge

Scott Brown “That’s Bob being Bob from what I understand.”

Josh McElveen: “Your conservative credentials will be called into question.”

Scott Brown: “I’ll put my credentials up against anyone. You know I’m a Republican and I have been since I was 18 years old and I think there is room for everybody. Certainly I welcome a primary and I appreciate everybody’s interest in getting involved in the process. So, no big deal.”

And I think there will be those that will answer that challenge.  First off, I noticed that Brown

Who’s In Your Wallet!?

Who's in your walletThe Republican party has no interest in receiving advice from me, and not just because we’re not exactly on speaking terms.  As a rule, I don’t speak to ‘The Party” I speak to folks who run as Republicans, activists, and voters, who may or may not be Republicans but have traditionally prefered what Republicans run on.

With that in mind,  it occurs to me that someone should be running a (or any) campaign against the progressive plunderers with the under-used tag line…”Who’s In Your Wallet.”

WMUR CloseUp – Harrell Kirstein could only blurt out talking points and mutterings

WMURHarrell – can’t even rise to the level of bloviating.  NHDP Communications Director Harrell “Jersey Shore” (with the known background of Scott Brown entering the race, Shaheen’s all in on Obamacare, and Shaheen issuing that silly Peoples’ Place challenge even as she’s fundraising out in LA LA Land):

We’re going to be talking about Jeanne Shaheen and her record about working for the people of NH…she always puts them first.

Hey, Harrell – does that mean you’re whacking Zandra Rice-Hawkins’s 3rd party monies? And the Unions? And the Greenies who have been doing your grunt work / TV ads for months? And let’s not forget the Progressive SuperPAC already in state to help shape your battlespace: Ready for Hillary SuperPAC?  Do you really expect that since they went all in for Mike Cryans in the Exec Council race that they won’t help Shaheen out,  too,  in order to buy future “chips” with her and Billy?
