Homeland and Clockhmed Are Both ‘Moving’

Mark Steyn notes how Homeland has removed the word Security when it suits the narrative… Nonetheless, like Niqab Girl, Clock Boy has taught us all a valuable lesson with his droll and spectacularly successful provocation. The US Department of Homeland Security’s slogan is “If You See Something, Say Something” – unless it’s something that might get … Read more

I would have to agree with this – issues

Disquiet rooted in a persistently weak economy, a chaotic foreign policy, growing national-security concerns and domestic social turmoil is aggravated by the sense that dissent — or even questioning conventional wisdom as defined by America’s condescending elites — is not only improper, but also immoral. Resentment? You betcha. And that’s a pony Trump seems determined … Read more

Well, he has said pretty much that in real life

(H/T: Liberal Logic 101) “I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.” – Barack Hussein Obama (P 261 -“Audacity of Hope.”)

Well – that was interesting! My post elicited a reply

Frank Guinta Town HallThat would be THIS post: So, will Frank Guinta (R-NH) vote for “open borders” Paul Ryan for US Speaker of the House?

I got a call from Guinta’s Chief of Staff, Jay.  I did think it a little bit amusing that he said “you could have called me” to which my rejoinder was “Not at around midnight, which is when that post went up”.  To make this a short post, let’s just say that that Frank is supposed to sit with Paul Ryan next week to “discuss issues”.  I asked a simple question: without the spaghgetti code of an omnibus type bill (re: a “Continuing Resolution” or CR, which may be coming up because the Republican majorities in the House AND Senate couldn’t get the job done of “regular order” appropriation / spending bills done) and simply on Principle, would Frank vote against Paul Ryan (R-WI) for Speaker of the US House (and third in line in the Presidency) for his open borders stance, given just the “overwhelming success” of the open borders we’ve had the last decade?

Oh yeah: National Debt Ceiling is coming up

debt -generational debt that is

The national debt ceiling is maxed out and the vote is coming up on whether to increase it.  I’ve already heard / read that a bill may be getting ready that duplicates the Iran Nuke bill but for the debt – again, the Congress may totally toss out its power and responsibilities and hand Obama total control over increased spending and that Congress would have to have a 2/3rds vote NO to stop him (instead of CONGRESS determining what the spending should be and must decide YES with a majority).  Why bother having a Congress at all if all they are going to do is emasculate themselves simply to “have consensus and be able to govern” (note to idiots – that ain’t “governing”)?  Especially in light of what came out of the Dems’ Prez debate the other night for spending that would make Obama look like a piker?

Anyways, how will our NH Federal Delegation vote?

Bringing the Retribution: see what happens when you opt out of Michelle’s school lunch program?

Michelle Obama Hunger GamesIt’s Hunger Games from DC.  After all, don’t they know what is BEST for us all – even if the lunch programs are losing money, food is just thrown away, and kids opt out by brown bagging it, scampering out to the closes fast food joint, or go into a homegrown “food black market”.  We’ve documented all this for years (re: “Thanks Michelle”).

So Londonderry, NH decided to opt out like a rising number of districts who, by the way, almost immediately see participation rates go back up, happier kids, and programs no longer losing money.  So, in the face of this rebellion from our Betters, what happened (emphasis mine, reformatted)?

So, will Frank Guinta (R-NH) vote for “open borders” Paul Ryan for US Speaker of the House?

So Frank, whatcha gonna do?  Vote for the anointed that seems to think more highly of immigrants than native born, or this time, vote to protect your constituents?

At the meeting, Paul Ryan told a predominantly Hispanic audience that the job of a U.S. lawmaker is to put oneself in the shoes of foreign nationals who want to come to the United States, then work to discover solutions to make their lives better.

Funny, I thought it was for those he represented in his actual districtI find this very disturbing -a Republican, Paul Ryan (R-WI) who would basically erase the borders of the USA to anyone that could get here, would ascend to the Speakership AND be a scofflaw minded person towards American sovereignty?

John Kerry: hey, Isrealies – don’t defend yourselves!

John "Lurch" KerryWe hear this from Obama’s Secretary of State about Israeli citizens arming themselves against the Palestinians that are attacking them in what is being called “the third intifatah” (emphasis mine, reformatted)

Secretary of State John Kerry told reporters today that Israel has a right to defend itself, but discouraged against “self-help” responses to random stabbing attacks from Palestinians.  Israeli authorities have encouraged citizens with gun permits to carry when they’re out and about, as they can possibly stop an attacker before police can get on the scene.

Of COURSE he did – American Liberals, of which Kerry is a Prime case, hate the idea that Force should be shared – FORCE should be the purview and monopoly of The State. Firearms should only be owned and used by agents of the State (note to Kerry – the reason why older Americans carry guns is that we can no longer carry cops on our backs). However, the Israelis seem to know better.  After all, they are THERE (versus their “Better” deigning from thousands of miles away) where the knives, guns, and cars are being used to injure, maim, and kill Jews.  They’ve already been through this – I hope they tell this blowhard to go pound sand (or rather, go wander around Gaza for a while – without his armed bodyguards):

Shaheen Gal-Pal Hill-Rod Approved Weapons Shipments Despite UN Ban

Washington Times | The State Department initially approved a weapons shipment from a California company to Libyans seeking to oust Moammar Gadhafi in 2011 even though a United Nations arms ban was in place, according to memos recovered from the burned-out compound in Benghazi. So, State and the CIA were running weapons through the Benghazi embassy, despite a UN ban. Terrorists … Read more

What Bernie Sanders Wants for America

bernie-sanders
How do we pay for it? It’s easy. We take your stuff…uh, I mean their stuff…

Sanders is possessed of the ancient 20th century Nordic “tradition” of the socialist paradise. He loves him some “modern” Swedish economics, see also Socialism the Third Way. He may also think those Lads from Liverpool are still on tour and he’s just waiting for them to come ’round so he can see the show.

Sorry Sanders, the Beatles are not on tour and your love affair with the Swedish model of central planning is also so last century, kind of like you.

Patriots Grumble Thread – Week 6

nfl week 6 pats colts
Colts guarantee their inclusion on an NFL blooper reel until the end of time…

Due to circumstances well within my control I did not watch the game against the Colts until last night. Good game. The Colts looked better, and Andrew Luck appeared more capable in this outing, though given their division, Indianapolis could probably go 8-8 and find its way to another playoff loss against the Patriots come January.

As for the Patriots, the much sought after blow-out did not materialize (NE 34 – Indy 27), primarily because both Brady and his receivers had some problems with ball control.
