We’re in the best of hands – ugh. The only thing I can say is that for the first time in a long time, here’s a journalist doing real journalism – and making it entertaining!
(H/T: American Thinker) Transcript (hilarious in just the reading) after the jump (emphasis on the jovial parts)
“The question we ask today is not whether our government is too big or too small, but whether it works — whether it helps families find jobs at a decent wage, care they can afford, a retirement that is dignified.” – President Obama, Inauguration (2009) This ain’t “it works”: U.S. SHIPS HELLFIRE MISSILE TO CUBA: a Hellfire … Read more
“If being stripped of your Constitutional right to defend yourself makes you safer according to the government — you might live in a nation founded by geniuses run by idiots.” -Jeff Foxworthy – comedian, author, TV host, entrepreneur (H/T: The Truth About Guns) [unconfirmed]
Yesterday was the vote on House Bill 582 which would end almost 100 years of state-sanctioned discrimination against Granite Staters. Of course, the majority of Democrats voted against the measure. The party that claims to be for women’s rights, minority rights and gay rights voted to continue allowing the state to discriminate against each of these groups.
“What kind of government cares more about appeasing Islamic terrorists than defending the constitutional rights of its citizens? A government that would disarm us during the age of terror.” (H/T: Instapundit)
Meanwhile, here in NH’s State Supreme Court another monkey, a Metzler monkey, seems to be losing his attempt to hide public information from a public school board member.
When three or more of a five member court are laughing at a monkey’s court case you know that slippery simian has skidded on a banana peel.
Not a huge fan of Frum but he’s got this right. Check his Twitter feed for more. If the Cologne attackers had belonged to a fraternity, their coordinated sexual assaults would be the biggest story on earth right now. — David Frum (@davidfrum) January 7, 2016
This term in its particular application means “that dominion which one man claims and exercises over the external things of the world, in exclusion of every other individual.”
In its larger and juster meaning, it embraces every thing to which a man may attach a value and have a right; and which leaves to every one else the like advantage.
Judicial Watch | Statement on IG Report Confirming FOIA Violations… The Clinton email scandal is worsening. Today’s State OIG report confirms what we’ve been saying all along – that Hillary Clinton and the Obama State Department thwarted specific Judicial Watch FOIA requests by lying about her email system with “inaccurate” and “incomplete” responses. The State Department … Read more
My Youngest was supposed to be in Texas today for the unveiling of a documentary of his unit, part of the 101st Airborne, as they spent a year in Afghanistan up in the Pech Valley at what was COP (Combat Outpost) Michigan – the most attacked US facility by the Taliban during that time period. Unfortunately, he came down sick a couple of days ago and had to cancel. That doesn’t mean that Dad can’t show the trailer:
Pech River Valley Boys: Tales From Afghanistan is a short documentary film about Bravo Company / 3rd Platoon / 1-327IN of the 101st Airborne Division’s deployment to the Pech River Valley, Afghanistan in May 2010 and to help preserve the memory of their fallen brother SPC Brian Tabada.
Shahada: “There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is Allah’s prophet.”
Obama has been wearing the same ring for thirty years, as a single man, and then as his wedding ring. According to this report, it is inscribed with the first part of the Islamic Shahada: “There is no god except Allah.”
“…newly published photographs of Obama from the 1980s show that the ring Obama wore on his wedding-ring finger as an unmarried student is the same ring Michelle Robinson put on his finger at the couple’s wedding ceremony in 1992.
Moreover, according to Arabic-language and Islamic experts, the ring Obama has been wearing for more than 30 years is adorned with the first part of the Islamic declaration of faith, the Shahada: “There is no god except Allah.”
Of course Hillary can’t because she CAN’T; it would finally admitting that Democrats hate our entire system of government – Socialists HATE our stated form of government, a Constitutional Republic with democratically elected Representatives. Instead, they feel put upon that THEY just can’t rule by fiat (re: Obama) or see us ruled by like-minded technocratic bureaucrats. After all, THEY are the experts – all-knowing and (??) non-partisan. Except we know, in the latter case, they aren’t and they aren’t. But they certainly keep trying to change America, little by little, decade by decade, all the same.
Back to Hillary – here’s Chris Matthews, once again, asking this top level Democrat “what’s the difference between a Democrat and a Socialist”?
Notice the prevarication, the hesitation, the deflection and finally, the outright refusal to answer. It’s rather easy: both want to rule your lives and how you live it. THEY want to use government to determine every jot and tittle of how a “free” American is to live, according to THEIR precepts. Ours? Not so much. My measuring stick is quite simple: what area of your live remains totally untouched by government law, statute, regulation, or ordinance? And even more important (and sadder), why have we allowed this to happen?
Does the Union Leader consider Sen. Kelly Ayotte to be an ‘actual Republican’? I’d really like to know because the other day they published an editorial titled 11 Conservatives and Trump. In it they posit the notion that all the Republican presidential primary candidates are conservatives (except Trump I suppose) and that those who claim otherwise have moved the goalposts on them.
A group of perennially discontented New Hampshire activists is trying to hijack the Republican Party by kicking out all the actual Republicans.
That’s rich. This field is bottom-heavy with (and supported by) Republicans who will not even defend their own party platform. You know, “the goalposts.” So tell me again, who is it that hijacked what? I contend that it is the Establishment GOP that hijacked the Republican party and a perfect example of this is New Hampshire’s own NHGOPe beloved, Kelly Ayotte.
Yesterday it was reported that a Manchester woman was stalked and attacked at her apartment complex on her way home from work. The attacker clearly thought the woman was just your regular, everyday elderly woman but boy was he in for a surprise.
The holidays were not big for polling data but this week we are seeing some new stuff over at RCP. We’ve also got Nevada and California in the mix now. In Nevada it is Trump 33, Cruz 20, Rubio 11, Carson 6, Christie 5, Bush 5, Fiorina 5, Paul 1, Santorum 1, Kasich 0, Huckabee 0 … Read more
As we get closer to New Hampshire’s important “First in the Nation” Presidential primary, we will send several emails which will contain important information about the various Presidential candidates’ views on the Second Amendment. These emails are intended to educate you, the law abiding New Hampshire firearms owners. They are not an endorsement of any particular candidate.
Governor Chris Christie, (R-NJ)
Since he became a presidential candidate, Governor Christie has been bragging about all of the people who were convicted of crimes under New Jersey’s draconian gun laws that he has subsequently pardoned.
Don’t be fooled! This is not the pro-gun act that Gov. Christie wants you to think it is. First, to our knowledge, Gov. Christie has only pardoned one New Jersey resident. It seems that visitors to the state who are ensnared by New Jersey’s anti-gun laws are more likely to get “excused”. And then, only after a huge public outcry. For example, Shaneen Allen, is a nurse, single mother and of course a female. When the outcry was loud Christie pardoned her. But the funny thing is that Gov. Christie has opposed nationwide concealed carry recognition. That’s right, had congress passed the very bill that Christie opposes, Shaneen Allen would not have gone to jail and a pardon would not have been necessary.
