Historic GOP Victory in Kentucky Leads to Flurry of Conservative Legislation

After taking the state house of representative for the first time in 95 years, Kentucky Republicans have passed a series of conservative reforms poised to rollback decades of Democratic economic meddling, as well as protect the unborn.

So what did they do that is such a good example for NH to following?  Abbreviated:

• House Bill 1 to make Kentucky the 27th right-to-work state in the country. No longer will it be legal for mandatory union dues to be collected from workers who do not wish to join the union, removing the grip of organized labor on workers who are not willing participants.

Is turnabout fair play? I don’t know, but I know a laugh riot when I see one.

US Uncut believes Ryan Clayton and the John Doe defendants (yet to be identified) are behind a scheme that unfolded on August 3, 2016 to hijack control of US Uncut’s Facebook page. The hijacking has resulted in US Uncut losing its administrator rights to its Facebook page, meaning US Uncut can no longer control the content of its Facebook page. Making matters worse, a new (and anonymous) administrator for the US Uncut Facebook page is posting content to the page in order to direct US Uncut’s audience to a copycat website called “usuncut.news.”

It seems our old vote thief and candidate impersonator, Carl Robert Gibson, had another professional protester, from New Hampshire, ATTEMPT TO STEAL THE NAME OF HIS STUPID WEBSITE!

Back on January, 9th, 2013, I remarked on a report by WMUR News 9 about an online poll. Why? Because, when the comments got nasty, the largest television media outlet in the state at the time chose, of all people, New Hampshire Democrat House Rep Cynthia Chase for her thoughts.

Chase became known nationally just days earlier for saying this about Free Staters.

“What we can do is to make the environment here so unwelcoming that some will choose not to come, and some may actually leave. One way is to pass measures that will restrict freedoms that they think they will find here.”

The six police officers tried in the death of Freddie Gray have just won a major decision in court.

A federal judge, Marvin J Garbis, has allowed a “malicious prosecution and defamation” lawsuit against Baltimore Prosecutor Marilyn Mosby to proceed.

It has long been suggested that Mosby with plenty of encouragement from the Mayor and even some at the Federal level tried to create a case where one didn’t exist. The judge had some very specific things to say about why the case could move forward, not because of her actions as a prosecutor (the State was cleared) but as an investigator, and conduct for which she is solely responsible.

At what point “a lot of Government” too much government?  Another example of government regulation run amok being buisness harmful.

We keep pointing these examples under the principle that at some point, Government’s micro-management is attacking the heart of America’s economy – that of small buisnesses.  We’ve seen 10s of thousands of new Federal regulations strangling growth overall (to the point of an overall average of about 1.7% GDP growth over Obama’s term) issued by bureaucrats that have never signed the front of a paycheck nor have concern over what this avalanche costs those businesses.  There is no feedback cycle that makes it personal with an adverse outcome for themselves when it tanks a business.  And States and local government, often times not also understanding the Law of Unintended Consequences in beeing seen as “doing something”.

For 25 years, China Fun was renowned for its peerless soup dumplings and piquant General Tso’s chicken. What left a bad taste in the mouths of its owners and loyal patrons was the restaurant’s sudden Jan. 3 closing, blamed by management on suffocating government demands. “The climate for small businesses like ours in New York have become such that it’s difficult to justify taking risks and running — nevermind starting — a legitimate mom-and-pop business,” read a letter posted by the owners in the restaurant’s front door.

And I think this next line doesn’t just include businesses but ANYTHING that has pockets as it seems those that “govern” have turned their backs on government but re-engineering society:

New Hampshire Senate Bill 12 (2017) is an Act, repealing the licensing requirement for carrying a concealed pistol or revolver. The new law would make the current pistol revolver license in New Hampshire optional. So, anyone legally able to own a firearm in the state would be legally able to put a coat or jacket on without having to get permission from a local police chief first. (Open carry without a license is already legal in New Hampshire.)

The bill has the support of all 14 Republicans in the State Senate, with 13 of them being sponsors and Governor Sununu has said he would sign such a bill. A hearing is already scheduled so expect this bill to move quickly to the governor’s desk to become law.

Since Obamacare was passed, the Republicans have said “REPEAL!”.  I’ve been waiting for this to happen for real quite some time , again to see if actions would finally match the political rhetoric:

Senate Budget Committee Chair Michael Enzi (R-WY) introduced a budget resolution Tuesday that includes “reconciliation instructions” that enable Congress to repeal Obamacare with a simple Senate majority. Passing a budget resolution that includes those instructions will mean that the legislation can pass through the budget reconciliation process, in which bills cannot be filibustered.

That means Republicans will only need 50 of their 52 members in the Senate, and a bare majority in the House, to pass legislation repealing the Affordable Care Act. According to the Wall Street Journal, the budget resolution could be passed by both houses as early as next week.

To be clear, passing the budget resolutions does not itself repeal Obamacare. But it’s the necessary first step if Republicans are to do that this year, and unless three or more Republican senators defect (or 24 House members do), it’ll be smooth sailing for the repeal effort from there on out.

Live by the sword, die by it.  I just hope that the Rs don’t lose

On Tuesday, NPR posted a study by the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) in which the association cries out over the “gun violence crisis.” They claim that 30,000 gun deaths (over 20,000 which are suicides) is somehow a “crisis” in a country of over 300 million people. They are falsely claiming that all gun deaths are due to violence, as do all gun control pushers. Of course, JAMA doesn’t put a true health crisis on their little chart – medical malpractice.
