Apparently, GOP Chair Jeanne Forrester has spoken before she actually read the bill

Wage Gap – Feminist myth? The “Factual Feminist” thinks so

Christina Hoff-Sommers, “the factual feminist” has a good question: “If, for the same work, women only make 77 cents for every dollar a man makes, why don’t businesses hire only women?” In fact, a feminist organization’s own research found that the wage gap is 6.6 cents when factoring in these choices that men and women … Read more

I guess opponents of HB 620 never read the NH Constitution from the get-go?

[Art.] 28. [Taxes, by Whom Levied.] No subsidy, charge, tax, impost, or duty, shall be established, fixed, laid, or levied, under any pretext whatsoever, without the consent of the people, or their representatives in the legislature, or authority derived from that body.

And it looks like those in the Legislature have decided that the State Board of Education has violated the Constitution’s mandate too often (else why would it exist?).  Reformatted, emphasis mine:

A bill intended to limit unfunded mandates in education and give school districts greater flexibility has special education advocates worried that major protections for students could be imperiled. As written, House Bill 620 would prohibit the State Board of Education from proposing any rule “that exceeds the minimum requirements of state or federal law.” The bill would affect all education rulemaking, but both the State Board and advocates said the biggest impacts would be in special education.

Hey, it’s all about The Rule of Law – or do these “advocates” don’t care about that?  After all, the Shade of Ian Underwood is ever present (with a pointed stick – heh!).  Not only that, but WHO should be making the Law?  Should it be the Executive Branch’s agencies?  Or should it be, well, Legislators?  Again, we look to the NH Constitution:

I thought this was an appropriate response to “A Day Without A Women”

Frankly, today was not much more than rich Progressive women trying to glorify themselves with virtue-signaling.  IMHO, they’re morons to think that we men don’t already understand their importance, but this is what happens when you combine Progressive Feminist theory with an over-developed sense of importance – and a lack of understanding (or total unwillingness … Read more

Across New Hampshire Capitalism Defeats Marxist Women’s Protest

Frauentag -Socialist Women's Day in Germany

“Bourgeois feminism and the movement of proletarian women,” Zetkin wrote, “are two fundamentally different social movements.”

International women’s day is a Marxist staple that’s been around since 1909. (Or, if you prefer 1911.) But it was always a socialist movement.

Yesterday, according to a staff report in the Manchester Union Leader, ‘women’ across New Hampshire, showed their solidarity with the century old Marxist tradition by wearing red and protesting.

Correct me if I’m wrong but none of the women interviewed by the Union Leader who protested, were employed.

Freedom Fraud: Trans activists are lying to Granite Staters about ‘Gender Identity’ bill

Tomorrow, the New Hampshire House of Representatives is scheduled to vote on House Bill 478 (HB 478), AN ACT prohibiting discrimination based on gender identity, also coined the ‘TransBillNH’ online. Yesterday Political Buzz posted an article about current discrimination laws already providing protections for transgenders to sue based on discrimination at the federal level. There are many side effects and issues with the legislation but it was also discovered yesterday that everyone, including transgenders, are already covered under the same discrimination laws as all Granite Staters.

You may not be aware but New Hampshire has a Human Rights Commission. This commission is responsible for “eliminating discrimination in employment, public accommodations and the sale or rental of housing or commercial property, because of age, sex, sexual orientation, race, creed, color, marital status, familial status, physical or mental disability or national origin.”  The commission was set up under RSA 354-A and has been working to help any Granite Stater who has been discriminated against, including transgenders.

The Proper Role of Govt – we are to be “instructed”?? Treehugger says yes

Federal Govt Dietary Guidelines for Americans 2015-2020OK, this has been hanging around in my “to do” list for a long time getting a bit moldy but it, once again, shows the proclivity of Treehugger to simply accept the mantra that Govt knows best – we should comply.  Add a touch of veganism (hey, it’s Treehugger) and you get this:

…If the U.S. government doesn’t know how to instruct its citizens in how to eat properly, then it’s reassuring to know that other countries have already figured it out. Sweden and Brazil have both published excellent (and understandable) dietary guidelines in recent years. Use those instead and see how you feel in five years, when the new guidelines are due for review. Maybe by then the U.S. guidelines will have gotten with the times.

I left this as a comment:

Notable Quote – US Rep Jeff Duncan (R-SC)

We are a very benevolent country. We have always taken refugees.  Give us your tired, your poor your hungry. But folks had to go to Ellis Island and wait to be screened before they were able to come into the country. And then once they came, they were required to assimilate.” We have thrown assimilation out the … Read more

Repubocare – “You want to lose your majority? Because this is how you lose your majority”

If you REALLY wanted Government to get out from between you, your doctor, and your insurance plan, you’re gonna hate this. Once again, the Republicans are failing to get the job done; YOU LIE!

Alternative title: ‘What Good Is a Majority if You Aren’t Going to Use It?’

This is NOT either a Repeal or a Replacement – this is putting new sheet metal on a rusting 32 Ford – without fixing the powertrain or suspension.  End result is that it looks a bit prettier but doesn’t run much better.

Shiny ObjectLast night as I was going over the “Repeal and Replace” of Obamacare, I said that ” I am going to have to reference back to the original bill and see what the actual ramifications are” in terms of Medicaid Expansion by reading the original Obamacare bill.  Well, I guess I don’t have to as the Right side of the blogosphere is just chuck-a-block full of commentary and pointing what the Republicans (snark) did during the last 7 years while campaigning and screaming “WE’LL REPEAL IT” once we had a majority in the House, and then a majority in the Senate…..and then they needed the Oval Office.

And our reward for keeping the faith, putting their butts in those seats is THIS LOAD OF CRAPOLA??  They had SEVEN years to get it right – and now this is the equivalent of the dog catching the car bumper and these Smart Republicans of DC are going “crap, we gotta give them something, right?”  And the calls are ALREADY going out “YOU MUST SUPPORT THIS BILL“.   Yeah, well screw you because you all just screwed the rest of us.  Good decision, me leaving the Party – I don’t want to be associated with this stench no way and no how.

If had been done in the private sector, we’d be able to convict them all of a huge “bait and switch”.  This isn’t the Free Market solution we were promised.  This isn’t the killing of the massive amount of regulations.

This is a

Obama CIA Could Have Faked ‘Hacks’ to Look Like They Originated in Russia

wikileaks-logoWikileaks has released the first dump on a massive haul related to CIA Spying technology, primarily during the Obama years (code named Vault7). Yes, if you have a smartphone, smart television, laptop, PC, etc., they developed or acquired methods to spy on you through your devices without your knowledge.

But the best part, so far, is this. The CIA could engage in hacks and make them look like they came from Russia.

UMBRAGE

The CIA’s Remote Devices Branch‘s UMBRAGE group collects and maintains a substantial libraryof attack techniques ‘stolen’ from malware produced in other states including the Russian Federation.

With UMBRAGE and related projects the CIA cannot only increase its total number of attack types but also misdirect attribution by leaving behind the “fingerprints” of the groups that the attack techniques were stolen from.

If Democrats Want it, Run Away From it. The More They Want it the Faster You Run

When contemplating your vote for bills like HB478, or any Bill a Democrat sponsors, consider what I like to call my rule number one. If Democrats want it, you should probably run away from it. The more they want it, the faster you run.

New Hampshire House Bill 478 is not about transgenders. It’s no different than anything else most Democrats want. It is about advancing their political and cultural agenda. Transgenders are just the latest tool. A tiny spec of a sliver of the population they can use as a wedge.

You don’t believe me?
