Heartburn for the illegal immigrant apologists – guess what Sessions is now making a FELONY!!! Yee Hah!

illegal alien signI am so tired of hearing the “let them break our immigration law” musty heads mantra on “it is not illegal to be here, it’s only illegal to enter without documentation”.  Well GUESS WHAT!  New US Attorney General Jeff Session has been making that into the dust it always deserved – and now is doubling, TRIPLING down on the Rule of Law and do what the last two Presidents refused to do and actually enforce the law with this:

Sessions Announces Illegal Aliens Who Illegally Re-Enter The U.S. Will Be Charged With a Felony

Well, that pretty much takes that argument away from those that have refused to see that adhering to The Rule of Law is part of the American Exceptionalism philosophy that NO ONE is above or beyond the law. Emphasis mine:

Speaking from the U.S.-Mexico border in Nogales, Arizona Tuesday, Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced major changes to Justice Department protocol when it comes to charging and prosecuting illegal aliens.

“For those that continue to seek improper and illegal entry into this country, be forewarned:  This is a new era.  This is the Trump era.  The lawlessness, the abdication of the duty to enforce our immigration laws and the catch and release practices of old are over,” Sessions said.

Details?  BOOM!

Notable Quote – Prof. Walter E. Williams

Excerpts from his address upon receiving the 2017 Bradley Prize: Now for most of human history, mankind has been subject to arbitrary abuse and control by others, It’s personal liberty that’s the rare state of affairs, and enjoyed by only a tiny part of mankind mostly in the western world, and for only a tiny … Read more

“NOW You’re Worried About Executive Power? “

Recently, many left-leaning people have become (randomly) concerned about reigning in executive power, a mass event not seen since the beginning years of the Bush presidency. This concern manifests itself in suddenly questioning the ability of the president to unilaterally order military action, including drone strikes, air strikes, special forces, etc. It also comes across as questioning whether just maybe executive actions aren’t the best way to govern with impunity, or that lists like the No-Fly List and programs like the NSA’s PRISM could potentially be bad when leaders who aren’t Barack Obama are President.

Frankly, NO President should have this much power.  It is the stupidity of Congress that has voluntarily given up much of its power (and the inability to use its greatest power, the Power of the Purse) to the Executive Branch that has made the President almost untouchable as we saw the last eight years and saw the weaponization of the Administrative / Deep State lay down rubber in heading towards that Progressive end line of the technocratic State.

Entrepreneurs are alert to unrecognized opportunities for mutual gain. By seizing these opportunities, they earn profits, and the mutual learning from the discovery of gains from exchange moves the market to a more efficient allocation of resources. In addition, the lure of profit continually prods entrepreneurs to seek innovations that increase productive capacity. For the … Read more

What Happened to the UNH Enrichment Legislation?

UNH CampusSenator Dan Innis (R-UNH) sponsored SB41 to recruit STEM candidates to New Hampshire Schools. As originally written it would have given $5,000.00 in taxpayer debt forgiveness to STEM students for showing up but not graduating or sticking around to thank taxpayers; by putting that knowledge to use in the Granite State. This prompted me to call it UNH Enrichment Legislation.

I’m happy to report that SB41 was revised and then tabled.

Why does the GOP keep avoiding its base’s priorities?

SHOT: Report: GOP Leaders May Exclude Border Wall Funds In Next Years Budget

The creation of a border wall along our southern border continues to be something president Trump really wants to make happen.

However, a new report indicates that federal funds for Trump’s border wall may not be included in the House GOP’s budget for Fiscal Year 2017-2018. The border wall is estimated to cost upwards of $12 billion, and House Democrats, along with a few House Republicans, are doing everything they can to ensure that funding is not factored into the GOP budget….Ahead of the decision to include the funds or not, House Speaker Paul Ryan indicated that border wall funding would not be included in the GOP budget

CHASER:  Why does the GOP keep giving its base reasons to NOT vote for them?

Obligatory mention – United Airlines, frequent flier, and “how United turned a PR crises into a total disaster”

UAL logoAs I have said in the past, I’ve flown over 500,000 miles for business and most of those on United.  In the past, I was a Premier Exec level frequent flier for multiple sequential years in the past.  Most of the employees I came into contact with were always cordial and polite (even if getting harassed by folks that had lost their minds and sense of “adultness”).

This event, where a doctor was knocked out by airport security / police and then dragged up the aisle simply because he wouldn’t “voluntarily” give up his seat so that a United employee could sit in it instead of him (a paying customer)?  Totally out of bounds.

  • Yes, because of the “carriage laws”, an airline has the right to remove you for whatever reason they want.
  • Yes, they’ve deserved their $750 million whack in their valuation during the day (even at a $22+ billion valuation, it should get the Board of Directors’ attention).
  • Yes, their CEO is a complete fool.  I can understand backing your employees, but knocking out a paying passenger??  And the video kinda throws water on the CEO’s claims.

I’ve been in that passenger’s shoes –

Henniker-Pecked

Henniker NH Local battle with ZBA and townIf you were not aware, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) hands out loans and grants for things (link fixed) that have nothing to do with agriculture. Who among you is honestly surprised? Very few in this audience.

Here’s another one. There are town officials in Henniker, NH who have Barack Obama’s “a phone and a pen” mentality when it comes to things they want versus following the law as written. Laws or rules that get in the way of getting things done can be ignored for the sake of progress or in the words of Henniker Town Selectboard Chair Kris Blomback, to move the town forward.

NH House Speaker Jasper can’t get it done, turns to scapegoating

Shawn Jasper BinkieYeah, NH Speaker Shawn Jasper, the formerly Democrat appointed NH Speaker of the House, is upset with Republicans, well, who are acting like Republicans.  Jasper is willing to go for bigger government – these Republicans aren’t.  Jasper is willing to spend more – these Republicans won’t.  He couldn’t get his budget passed – they stopped him and his fellow Democrats.  Stalwarts, they be, I say.  He called them WHAT???

“I am not a person that gives in to essentially terrorism,” said Jasper, R-Hudson, during a lengthy interview Friday about the maverick team of 32 conservatives who helped block passage of the budget.

Yeah, that’s rhetoric right out of the Democrat playbook.  I know – that’s the kind of language the Progressives (who ALWAYS rachet up government) used against us in the TEA Party movement.  They did so because we wanted a government that stayed within its Constitutional bounds, was frugal, and espoused Free Markets.  And Jasper calls this new NH Freedom Caucus “terrorists”?  Standing up for Principles – Republican principles?

I’m surprised that it took this long – the Swedish “Allahu Akbar”

https://twitter.com/EngageTheRebels/status/850370359123693568

While I have not posted much about it, I have been watching the disaster that has become Sweden’s effort to be “nice” as they deliberately took in more Muslim refugees per capita than any other EU nation.  In all these nations, crime has gone up especially sex crimes (and their governments and media have tamped down the size and reporting of the crime rates).  In Sweden, Malmo is the shining example of “no-go” zones where first responders won’t venture in without police protection.  It is also clear that even armed police are starting to lose control and do not wish to go into majority Muslim neighborhoods.  Like other EU nations, they are now starting to realize that they have imported their own society’s suicide. Germany, France, Luxembourg, Britain; all have experienced Islamic terrorism.

Yeah, we’re not big fans of simpering stupidity, either. Hair, the new “Oppression”???

Yvonne Nguyen hair cutEvery time that I think I have heard “the most stupid thing evah!” coming out of our Precious Snowflake colleges, out comes another that’s just that much worse.  Politically Correct speech, made up gender bender terms, the totalitarian reactions if you don’t adhere to what someone demands, and the utter bizarreness of what these kids dig up (at the coaching of Professors that seemed to be consumed with grievances of all types) and stating that THIS is something “important” – who can keep up with the ever changing Totem Pole of Badness?  Who WANTS to do this?  Can’t we get college kids to start swallowing gold fish again, or trying to stuff as many people as they can into a small car or a phone booth (er, sorry, showing my age there; is there such a thing as reverse ageism?)?

But I never had the inkling that HAIR is now the newest source of oppression.  Seriously, there’s a “HAIR privilege”?
