WIRED Magazine Exposes the Social and Environmental Costs of the “Green” Agenda

Our readers are no strangers to reports, exposes, documentaries, or commentaries about one of the green movement’s biggest lies. It’s not only not green; it’s brown and black and killing brown and black people.

From so-called carbon offsets to offshoring emissions in the push to electrify everything, Western intellectuals are laundering your money through the hands of Chinese Communists at the expense of human beings in far-off lands (and then eventually right here at home) so they can get rich and pretend to care about people and the planet.

Imagine my surprise when I followed a link to an article in WIRED Magazine that explores and exposes the damage for which these Western mandates are responsible. WIRED is, well, wired into the Left’s propaganda machine, so this was…unexpected.

Meeting [Nickel] demand has come at a huge social and environmental cost. Workers claim that deaths and injuries are common at IMIP. Medical professionals and environmentalists say the polluted air and water are causing respiratory problems, sickness, and eye injuries and destroying forests and fisheries. The rush to expand production has pushed local communities and infrastructure to the brink of collapse.

“Labor exploitation, economic injustices, and environmental degradation are undermining the socio-ecological transformation promised by electric vehicles,” says Pius Ginting, coauthor of a report by the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation think tank on the industry. “The public needs to know the reality of what’s happening.”

Kudos to WIRED for bothering to send journalists to Indonesia to dig into this environmental and public health disaster and then for publishing what they found. They can find similar stories in India, Africa, and China – not that China will let you anywhere near their mines IN China – and I’m surprised journalists are getting access to China-owned mines everywhere else.

China owns or owns part or most of all of these. Maybe someone should tell Joe Biden, and John Kerry, and then everyone else who thinks this mad rush to electrify everything is a good idea – even if we had the infrastructure and power generation to charge them – which we do not and will not. Probably ever.

As you also know, none of that is the point of any of this. The goal is to demobilize the population and starve it or energy. There’s no other logical end to any of this.
