Here, I reported that Doug Lambert had been arrested and charged with simple assault stemming from his activity at the October meeting of the Belknap County Republican Party. At the November meeting, based on testimony and a truthful video created from 3 camera angles (provided by GraniteGrok), he was stripped of his General Membership.
There have been skeptics to be sure. It’s also clear that during his testimony, he made light of the proceedings. Now in possession of the Gilford Police reports as well as the Laconia District Court paperwork (to date, to be sure), it is clear that “there” really is there. Best place to begin is always at the beginning. At the sake of being repetitive, the video once again:
There are all kinds of commenting going on over here about this recounting so for adding more video-specific comments, take a stroll over there and yak about your and the other commenters’ thoughts (if you don’t mind). The purpose here is to simply outline what is now happening with Lambert’s alleged] assault.
Sidenote – always remember that in our system of jurisprudence, the defendant is always assumed to be innocent until proven guilty by the weight of the evidence, intent, motivation, and ability.
As reported before, a report was made to the Gilford Police Department by the victim, logged, and the following was abstracted from the GPD Arrest Log after the report was made:

The more complete abstract was just released on 11/27 where Lambert finally turned himself into the GPD for booking (and this is a public record):
And yes, the arrest happened.
This was preceded, of course, by the original statement by the victim (re: dated 11/4/22):

Entered into evidence at the GPD at the time of the report was this following video (courtesy of GraniteGrok):
Please note that this was viewed by GPD personnel. As opposed to what Lambert attempted to persuade in the BCRC meeting video above, their determination was that contact was made and it wasn’t consensual. Otherwise, their arresting process would have stopped short. While this incident still needs to be adjudicated, the GPD agrees (to the extent that they can).
The next post will start to outline the process of getting a temporary restraining / stalking order.
