According to no less an authority than Joe Sweeney … campaign manager for Chuck Morse … GOP candidates should NOT talk about anything but the so-called pocketbook issues. This is truly STUPID political advice, which shows the fundamental disconnect between GOP “leadership” and GOP voters:
Voters care very much about public education being used to indoctrinate their children with CRT and DEI … those wonderful euphemisms for anti-white racism. Indeed, this issue is arguably why Glen Youngkin … who pledged to ban CRT in Virginia schools … was elected Governor of Virginia. While New Hampshire has a law that purportedly bans CRT, it is a toothless tiger that is routinely ignored and needs to be massively strengthened. Also, local school boards should be prohibited from advancing CRT under the smokescreen of DEI … diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Opposition to CRT is a proven WINNING issues for GOP candidates. But Sweeney wants GOP candidates to avoid CRT and its analogue, DEI. STUPID.
Something else Sweeney wants to avoid, the All Ages Drag Shows sweeping America, typically with woke corporate sponsorship. For example:
These shows obviously are NOT “family-friendly” and are intended to proselytize children. Yet Sweeney’s advice for the GOP candidate running against a Democrat who supports exposing children without their parents’ knowledge to the likes of “Anal Leakage” and “Genitalia” is to never mention it. STUPID.
Crime is running rampant in Democrat-run cities all across America. Just recently a 75-year old Manchester resident, while out taking a walk, was stabbed to death by a homeless thug who was out on bail for trying to stab another person. But Sweeney’s advice for the GOP candidate running against a Democrat who supports cashless bail and other criminal-coddling policies is to talk about the fed-funds rate. STUPID.
Of course, voters are concerned about inflation and the so-called pocketbook issues. But they are also concerned about public education being used to indoctrinate students to view everything through the lens of race, and about the Left grooming children … maybe ask Disney how their stock is doing, Mr. Sweeney … and about keeping our neighborhoods safe, and about all the drug overdoses.
To take all these non-pocketbook issues off the table is stupid … STUPID … political advice. STUPID.
