So, Belknap County Republicans, especially those in the County Delegation, that aligned themselves with that Political Action Committee (Citizens for Belknap (“CfB”), have you realized yet that you got played?
Sidenote (extended): So some folks are giving me shade for going after my Elected Representative, Gregg Hough, so hard. So be it – everyone is entitled to an opinion just like I am. They’re giving me grief for focusing on him too much. Well, too bad – if you break the Law, you deserve all the opprobrium that can be mustered. I dryly note that not ONE of them, including Gunstock Area Commissioner Doug Lambert (also of DGF Industrial), has mentioned that after Gregg Hough did the acting in carrying out the aims of Citizens for Belknap, they turned around and told everyone in their voting guide, proudly in their full-page ads in the Laconia Daily Sun, to not vote for Gregg Hough in the Primary:
And in coming to this past week’s Belknap County Republican Meeting, Doug Lambert, you carefully excluded that bit of information in your attempt (as Hough failed) to try again in attacking me and GraniteGrok. Of COURSE, you didn’t mention – it wouldn’t have fit the Narrative. Instead, you decided to use the blanket of “Unity” to attack GraniteGrok (‘YOUR media”) in going after Hough after YOU have spent months destroying Peter Ness and Dr. David Strang (both good Republicans). That latter bit also didn’t make it into your spiel Wednesday night, did it? Again, the Narrative must never be despoiled, eh? Ah yes, ever the Machiavellian, right? Only Power matters, eh?
“RULE 12: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it“. In your attempt in coming after GraniteGrok while proclaiming yourself the King of Unity trying to cull the herd, you forgot something. After all, even as a Republican, you have explicitly aligned yourself with the Democrat-run Citizens for Belknap. Not only in deed, as you have done they were seeking to do (eliminate those Commissioners asking hard and uncomfortable questions, but philosophically as well.
It did not go unnoticed, by your grinning face at the CfB booth during Gilford Old Home Day, but by larking around and wearing your CfB t-Shirt, how you have deeply aligned yourself with your new Democrat and Democrat leaning friends and allies with the CfBin going after Republicans. A “Machiavellian in Republican clothing”? But I digress…
In the Daily Sun a couple of days ago was this:
I think we had a very good day,” said Citizens for Belknap organizer Brian Beihl, who lives in Alton Bay. “We were able to unseat our primary objectives, Mr. Silber and Mr. Sylvia. I thought the voters appreciated our guidance. One thing we have accomplished aside from unseating extremist state reps is voters realize they need to do more homework. They understand now they have to be a lot more careful who they vote for,” Beihl said.
He’s a Democrat with past involvement with the Leftist groups Open Democracy NH and NH Rebellions. Note the always-constant use of the word “extremist”. Note, too, that NO one from CfB or the Republicans aligned with them, have ever defined what an “extremist” is? That word is in contant use by….who? Yes, Democrats. What’s the point of pointing this out?
“It was about the voters. They educated themselves. They were tired of being represented by people who didn’t represent themselves. That spoke loudly in Gilford and Belmont. The voters had enough. We did a job in educating people,” said Al Posnack of Alton, a Democrat, and the chair and founder of Citizens for Belknap.
No, no education was done – it has been a smear campaign right from the get-go. Gary Kaidaisch and the other monied people that wanted that restaurant, wanted that hotel, and saw it slipping away when the Convention started to put folks on the GAC that started asking uncomfortable questions, went first to Lawfare (running up a $110,000 legal bill with Divine-Millimet) and then political (HB1397 which would have taken the GAC away from the overwatch of the Convention and the County Commissioners), and then this political campaign.
The last pull quote:
Posnack said the group will continue its political advocacy and voter education mission in the general election in November and beyond. Beihl, a Democrat, worked until March 2022 for Open Democracy, a group dedicated to campaign finance reform, and issues of redistricting, voting rights and voter suppression, which are Democrat causes. He said the bipartisan Citizens for Belknap PAC will update its voter guide for November to include Democrats and possibly independents in some races.
“Our charter is to promote reasonable representatives, not support people with extreme views,” Beihl said. “We’re making recommendations. We’re not forcing anyone to vote a particular way.”
Balderdash. Nice sounding words but now that the “delivery rocket” has gone orbital (the Primaries), that last bolded bit is the payload – the entire raison d’etre for this whole campaign.
Revenge.
Those folks that were targeted in their hit list campaign guide are going to get targeted again even as they are not extreme view holders. They are being targeted because they believe in the NH GOP Platform and they believe in Liberty. They also took their duties seriously in trying to find out what was going on at Gunstock.
The over use of the word “reasomable” for their side and “extreme” for anyone “not them” is telling.
Those being targeted don’t believe in the Pelosi/Schumer/Ray Buckley value set.
And this what this is all about.
