Meme Overflow

biden-fail-2 Peter Doucy Conservative Treehouse

As promised in the last Monday Memes, I have an overflow. My meme cup runneth over.  Reasonably confident about a Friday Overflow-Overflow.  We’ll see.

Now, let the mayhem, mockery, and ridicule resume:

*** Warning, a few possibly off-color ones, in case tender eyes are about ***

Who remembers these?  I fear they’re making a comeback…

To make it easier:

“Political correctness is communist propaganda writ small. In my study of communist societies, I came to the conclusion that the purpose of communist propaganda was not to persuade or convince, not to inform, but to humiliate; and therefore, the less it corresponded to reality the better. When people are forced to remain silent when they are being told the most obvious lies, or even worse when they are forced to repeat the lies themselves, they lose once and for all their sense of probity. To assent to obvious lies is in some small way to become evil oneself. One’s standing to resist anything is thus eroded, and even destroyed. A society of emasculated liars is easy to control. I think if you examine political correctness, it has the same effect and is intended to.”

Reminds me of this:

It’s fun to watch the woketards short out like this.

I am sure this goes both ways.  Men are looking at their women (wait, am I allowed to use those words still?) and wondering if their pampered selves will be able to hand-wash clothes, dig in the dirt and thus forsake their painted nails & make-up, etc.  And in a grid-down situation, with no power and no cell phones, how many will be utterly lost?

I truly wish this were so.  I truly wish that, uncovering that nugget of Truth around which so many lies have been layered, that the scales will fall from peoples’ eyes.  But more and more I have observed that – with rare exceptions – Carl Sagan and Franz Fanon apply:

“One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken. Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back.”

― Carl Sagan, The Demon-Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark

“Sometimes people hold a core belief that is very strong. When they are presented with evidence that works against that belief, the new evidence cannot be accepted. It would create a feeling that is extremely uncomfortable, called cognitive dissonance. And because it is so important to protect the core belief, they will rationalize, ignore and even deny anything that doesn’t fit in with the core belief.”

― Frantz Fanon, Black Skin, White Masks

And both of those tie to vanity.  For example, people are convinced they are GOOD PEOPLE for taking and pushing The Jab.  For them to accept evidence that the Jab is harmful and/or not effective, they’d have to accept that they were fooled and that they might have actually done harm to people by encouraging it… let alone catastrophic harm to their descendants.  Few people have that kind of strength to admit error to that degree.  Not for nothing is Vanity the Devil’s favorite sin…

Pick of the post:

That Biden likes kids was known even to most of his supporters.  What scares me is that, to them, that was less important than stopping mean tweets from Orange Man Bad.
