The Left’s real goal has always been Civil War and Martial law. Revolution is the end-game of all progressive policy and action exists to perpetuate destruction. The past two years look like a mad rush to get there.
Ruling the ruin. The One-Party State. Mandates, lockdowns, all of it (as you all knew or suspected) are just another act in a piece of progressive performance art whose conclusion is totalitarian.
And the COVID hijinks sorted society for them.
Look at how easily the US military identified the real sheep with a vaccine mandate. The same is true for a lot of other sectors, like doctors, and nurses. The non-compliant would always be a problem – unwilling to deny critical care to the non-compliant. Unable to shoot unvaccinated civilians in the name of public health.
Even corporate or business interests got sorted, as did those who started out strong for the new authoritarianism but then got gun shy.
So, the vaccines do work, just not against any flu.
Segue to Canadian anthropologist Joshua Ross who has broken reactions to COVID and the response into factions with the accuracy that becomes that profession. The investigation and sorting of societies, cultures, and human behavior.
It is a bit long but worth the read, but I’d like to share some excerpts to whet your palate.

Fugitives: … Folks who bought in at first and then tried to back away slowly, hands raised in a defensive posture.
They may wish to recant, but do not want to admit guilt publicly—instead, they revoke, recall, and “relax the public health measures”. This faction seeks to avoid further damage to the economy, society, and health and welfare of citizens, by cutting losses and trying to withdraw under the pretext that success has either been achieved, or the costs are too high to continue. At least there is recognition in this group that the imposed restrictions did far more harm than good (as they should have known, …
This faction realizes that its members have served as an instrument for causing massive damage—politically, economically, and socially—and at most can only indirectly admit to that fact by now pursuing a different course. The fugitive faction would like to see us exit this trauma without any hard feelings, with little if any accountability, cheered by the promise that “we won’t do it again”. They would prefer to declare that “it is all subsiding” as we “learn to live with the virus”.

Unperturbed enthusiasts of eternal lockdowns, this middling class of stay-at-home professionals cherishes the pandemic as a lifestyle choice. This faction seeks straightforward continuity—maintain or reintroduce “measures,” encourage further “vaccination,” maintain or bring back “masking,” and so on.
A Zoom-based social segment, this preachy faction consists of regime media and regime academia, whose specialties as advocates is to manipulate symbols and re-engineer values in order to normalize the state of exception. These exponents of the emergency lifestyle strive to maintain a permanent pandemic by sustaining a high level of propaganda and fear-mongering.
They are constantly on alert. They are champions of “vigilance”. Behaving like overzealous hall monitors and pompous snitches, they are pious apostles of authoritarianism. In terms of its reality-denial capacity, it is the most psychotic of the factions—that is not an insult, but more of a clinical diagnosis. …
Unbridled enthusiasts of every wrong decision and the worst of choices, they continue cheerleading even when the game is over. They are idealists, true believers, who will cheerfully offer one booster after another until immune systems completely collapse, just in time for the complete collapse of the social system. This faction can sometimes be difficult to distinguish from the following, far more sinister cluster of interests, because to a significant extent it is, in functional terms, the “useful idiot” of what follows.
Vandals: Those using COVID to create the New World Order.
The third faction, that of the progressivist wreckers proclaiming a new order, is the one that is most worrying. This faction, consisting of champions of demolition, is the one that is capable of considering one final all-out assault that is so massive that it can only end in total destruction and provoke generalized violence in the form of civil unrest. This is the faction that seeks to crash the economy, by aggravating inflation, maximizing fuel shortages, damaging agricultural production, all under the pretext of “greening” the economy and ushering in a “transition” to “renewables” while fighting to preserve the phony “liberal world order” against the Russian bogeyman.
The Vandals are the most dangerous, as Ross notes: If the experts, elites, and functionaries in power, who belong to this third faction, come to the realization that they cannot rule any longer, then they are going to make sure that there is nothing left to rule, or nothing left that is worth ruling. They are that suicidal and nihilistic. Bringing forth the full violence that is latent in progressivist ideology, they will opt for a scorched earth policy if they are not defeated first. With the backing and support of the perpetual promoters who are either hiding until the dust settles or actively providing material support.
The Vandals are the ones Obama said we were waiting for – with idiot Biden and his cackling vapid VP to take the fall when it all goes bad. Supported by the administrative state Obama established that bogged Trump down in a swamp he could never drain.
It is the cold war inside the US looking to get hot, and I believe they will do or say anything to get there. Steal elections (2020), impeach or kill Supreme Court Justices (Thomas/Kavanaugh). Run Congressional Star Chambers and Show Trials (J6 Mini-Series). Oh, and COVID lockdowns.
The Public Health establishment is out (it’s only mid-July) waving the warning flags for COVID to come. Just in time for the mid-terms.
If we even get there.
The maintenance of fear is thus essential to sustaining demand. In addition to extracting capital, there is the very basic question of power: the unrestrained ability to dominate the masses, without question, triumphing against resistance.
So, what does a faction willing to ruin everything to keep its control do when that control is slipping through its fingers? That, ladies and gentlemen, is the future that lay before us. The government as mad gunman ready to die if it means that will take as many of us as possible with them.
With at least one caveat in the US. We have sovereign states, and enough of them to tell the government to F-off. Is that the Civil War they want or just the one they’re going to get?
Or can this all be avoided? I hope so, but no one saw the covid tyranny coming until it was here.
