I’m not sure what to file this under? I told you so? Public Health Trumps Everything? So many choices, unless one of them was “I pass on the Vaxx.” Houston Methodist fired their “vaccine-hesitant,” and now hundreds of fully Jabbed staff are out…with COVID.
“What is worrisome is the climbing number of our employees who cannot work because they are home sick with COVID-19. Almost 400 employees tested positive last week,” Dr. Robert Phillips, the executive vice president and chief physician executive of Houston Methodist, wrote in an internal email on July 12 obtained by The Epoch Times.
According to the Epoch Times, Houston’s Methodist Hospital fired 153 staff who refused to take the jab. What, no religious objection at the “Methodist” hospital. How progressive of them.
Dr. Robert Phillips, quoted in the piece, says the staff is catching COVID from community transmission. What masks don’t work either?
He also says,
“The spike in cases is happening all over the country and is likely attributed to the highly contagious and more vaccine-resistant omicron subvariant,” Phillips wrote. “BA.5 is now the most infectious variant so far and is thought to be four times more vaccine evasive than the last dominant variant.”

On July 17th, they report 23 people in the hospital with COVID. Those are people treated who have COVID. It is not an indication of occupied beds, but let’s assume it is. Twenty-three. Sure, Houston has about a million more folks in it than the entire state of New Hampshire, but given the effectiveness of herd immunity, that proximity should have prepped them for the so-called vaccine-resistant BA.5. Natural immunity is proving a better “choice” than the vaccine they said would prevent infection and spread while every variant and COVID19 itself has been resistant to the COVID19 vaccines.
But what else can Dr. Phillips say? The hospital told everyone to get the experimental shot or you’re fired in the name of public health. And now, public health could be endangered by that policy (and others just as irresponsible), and what’s a Covidist to do? They are happy to report that none of those employees needs to be hospitalized.
Pro-Tip – most people who got COVID before the vaccines did not need to be hospitalized.
The hospital also says it is not understaffed, and it now says the vaccine was never meant to prevent infection, just severe infection. Stay tuned for the next evolution of the narrative, and given that the UK has said the quiet part out loud, that should be here any minute now.
