Just a quick reminder as primary and election season stroll up to us like a mugger in the park. Democrats dislike offshoring, but Joe Biden has Offshored many things, not just the tax dollars of people not yet born.
We can produce our own energy, and we did, but now we’re buying that at exponentially higher prices from foreign nations, many of whom hate us. They get mountains of our money to finance that hate while we get record energy inflation, a declining economy, and if you care – shipping it here from there has a higher “carbon footprint.”
Baby formula? We used to make that too, but since Biden, we have to buy it from “overseas.”
Tens of billions have been sent to Ukraine, and maybe its extortion (Biden is compromised) or more money laundering back into the pockets of favored groups who donate it to Democrats. But it was your money, used to “fund” a “war” in which we are not otherwise involved (unless you mean the secret Biolabs the US was running).
And not a peep from most of the anti-war folks who are also the pro-LGBT folks who can’t seem to care about funding a regime that prohibits gay marriage and is generally hostile to their fringe movement.
China also owns Biden, and he’s returning that favor by sending them what oil we have to help the crumbling Chinese Economy—offshoring a billion barrels while you pay record-high prices for gas at home.
We’ve promised to offshore natural gas we don’t have to Europe and, by most accounts, any integrity of the office of the President that might remain.
No golden age of civility either, quite the opposite or just more of the same.
So, when can we offshore the entire administration and the leaders in congress who feed these ideological perversions? And if we could, would it make any real difference? Until we “offshore” the bureaucracy and the staffers that sustain it, electing different politicians is a useless exercise.
Washington DC needs an enema, but all we seem to get is “same old whore, new dress.” Except it’s not a new dress, it’s the only dress, and it’s blue.
Fear not, for there is still an answer. The states. They need to defend liberty from an oppressive foreign power, the US government. But not just on paper. They need to stop that trite little practice of taxation without representation. And I don’t mean the absence of individuals elected or appointed in the state’s name or its people. I mean the lack of any connection between that position and the interests of the states that chose them.
I often joke that Shaheen, Hassan, Kuster, and Pappas ( NH’s tiny delegation) are nothing more than ambassadors to New Hampshire representing DC’s interests – provisional Governors tasked with projecting the empire’s will.
They are always finding new ways to make us dependent, depriving ourselves and posterity of incomes needed to fund the trillions spent on their priorities. This political class is more dependent on the Beltway culture than on the interests of the state that “elected” them.
It is a problem, and the states are still the only solution. So how do you wean what has been reduced to a dependent “child” from the teat of a tyrant?
