Liberal San Francisco Successfully Recalls Soft on Crime (Soros?) DA Chesa Boudin

This does not bode well for the Democrats and their “defund the police,” soft on crime policies. One of those progressive DAs who got elected (most likely with George Soros money) just got kicked out of office. In San Franciso!

The recall effort against Chesa Boudin, a former public defender and the son of convicted Weather Underground terrorists, was supported by 61% of voters in early returns, according to NBC.

Boudin’s out, and the mayor, London Breed, who is pissed about (some) crime – at least she says she is – will appoint the interim replacement. I think we can expect a few changes when the new sheriff comes to town, even if it’s just a show of good faith to the voters who booted Boudin.

San Francisco was a trainwreck before, but it has suffered under Boudin. Rampant shoplifting because the DA won’t prosecute what he called petty crimes. Actual hate crimes against real Asians.

And the progs are paying attention. According to the Post, other DAs who got elected (with Soros Money) have enacted similar policies with similar results. Rising crime and no accountability. Add several years of anti-police ‘defund’ rhetoric from Democrat councils and mayors, and someone will have to take the heat.

Tuesday’s recall election, Proposition H on the ballot, could prove a bellwether of voter sentiment across the US, including in New York City, where Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has faced widespread criticism since enacting a slew of progressive policies after taking office in January.

“Around the country, we have seen the rise of the so-called progressive DAs,” Richie Greenberg, a former Republican mayoral candidate and spokesman for the recall effort, told The Post before Tuesday’s vote.

The Left coast libs started it but will the East coast libs take the hint? And if NYC successfully votes their DA out of office, will that signal reach the ears of like-minded others?

And more importantly, will it do so with any depth of meaning.

Dems are big on facades. Their soft on pandemic policy posture in 2022 is entirely political. If they were to somehow win in November, we’d be back in the straightjacket before the echo from the announcement faded.

And, as always, the problem with Democracy is that it allows people to make choices that the Party elite would prefer they be denied. Especially in places like San Francisco, which is supposed to be an ideological ghetto.

If you can’t keep them on the plantation im=n a local election, what does that say about the November midterms?
