More Proof that Unnecessary COVID Fearmongering Cost More Lives

I’m surprised that The Bangor Daily News is running this story. It’s about a new urge in patients showing up at hospitals. No, not ‘cuz COVID, these are people who were put off by policy or just stayed away, and the human cost of that is starting to show its face.

“…Maine hospitals say they’re still swamped with patients. This time, however, they’re patients who stayed away from hospitals … or had procedures delayed because hospitals couldn’t accommodate them during the latest virus surge.

And now that they’re seeking delayed care, whether regular check-ups and disease screenings or treatments for chronic illnesses, clinicians are finding they’re sicker than they would have been if they had received care earlier.

“Either they’re having cancers that were picked up at a later stage than they would have had we been doing good preventative care rather than delaying care, or they have chronic health conditions that worsened for the same reason,” said Dr. James Jarvis

Many more life years will be lost. Many quality of life years will be lost. And for what?

  • Fact: Over 99% of people who test positive live and most have minor symptoms or those typical to the flu.
  • Fact: Political force prevented many if not all facilities from seeing or treating anyone but COVID-positive patients.
  • Fact: If politicians and the media had reported that fact loudly and often by April/May 2020 (when we did) our hospitals would never have been overwhelmed. People would have had access.
  • Fact: The insane obsession with useless mask-wearing in these facilities after other places had dropped them keep people away as well.
  • Fact: Making millions of home test kits available to the fearmongered added to an unnecessary burden on hospitals that continued to delay access and surveillance that would have been identified.

The issue was not COVID it was the COVID Cult and its politics. If you happen to think it was motivated by the desire to get Trump out of office or because they are just predisposed toward tyranny or both then how much worse is that? Millions of people are denied access to care to satisfy a political vendetta.

And our reward was Joe Biden, Kamal Harris, and a Democrat majority Congress spending future generations into poverty before they are even born.

It’s a price they are more than willing to make us pay and trust me, this new problem will be blamed on someone or something else. But it is just another piece of the puzzle. Democrats are the party of death. These policies facilitate that.

It is not a coincidence and if it is then they are too stupid and too dangerous to be in any position of authority.
